Hey guys this is my first attempt at making a jump list any pointers would be really helpful.

Most likely holding everything in reserve and deepstriking lots of melta. Combat squadding when kps dont matter etc.

Also went with astorath for red thirst on a 1-3 but i am open to suggestions for a different hq i know astorath isnt the greatest hq ever made but he does get the job done most times. also with the novitiates and the sanguinary priests hopefully spreading fnp and furious charge out nicely

Where is the anti horde at? This just seems like unit spam. I understand redundancy but this just seem a bit OTT.

well please read the BA codex again under the special weapons sections for the assault squads. 1 for every 5 models in the squad.

7+1+2=10

So 2 meltas is fine, but I agree with pdawg, (even though IG infantry are cannon fodder) you're going to seriously injure mech guard and get viciously slaughtered by orks.

I like Astaroth for all his red thirst givings, makes it so you can take some squads away from the priests and still get Furious Charge.

However, I would ditch the second Honor Guard and Librarian for some Death Company, and give some of the assault squads flamers. You really need flamers when you have no vehicles. And you get to say, "I'm going to light you on fire."

Consider powerfists for the Sgts. This at least gives you a chance in case a walker gets into combat with you.

I really didn't realize until you mentioned it...thanks. I like the spamming of the Melta weapons but here is what I would run if I played an 1850 BA list. Its versatile and can take on different types of lists.

headquarters:
librarian = 100 - go with the razorback units
librarian = 100

elite:
sanguinary priests (2), handflamer (2), fist (2), jump packs (2) = 220 - go with the assault squads

troop:
assault squad (10), meltagun (2), handflamer, powersword, meltabombs = 240
assault squad (10), meltagun (2), handflamer, powersword, meltabombs = 240
tactical squad (10), meltagun, missile launcher, fist, razorback = 245 - combat squaded
tactical squad (10), meltagun, missile launcher, fist, razorback = 245

fast attack:
attack bike (2), multimeltas (2) = 100
land speeders (2), heavy bolters (4) = 120
land speeders (2), heavy bolters (4) = 120

heavy support:
predator = 60
predator = 60

1850 pts

ah just so you know the 7 assault marines means 7 assault marines 1 sergeant and 2 marines with melta weapons for a total of a 10 man squad.

Ya i like the idea of adding some hand flamers however at my LGS i primarily play against IG and MEQ and wave serpent spam eldar with the oddball tyranid or ork player showing up once in a blue moon. also i appreciate the list with the attack bikes and etc i like it however i want to field a jump infantry list i really think it could be fun. i have considered dropping one assault squad and adding a vanguard vet squad but i dont know if it would be worth the points also dropping astorath for a libby is doable it would free up a spot for another sang priest. i think powerfists are a good idea also. thanks for all the good pointers ill perhaps post a revised list this evening. also considered adding a libby dread with wings of sang but its not really in theme.

i did some retooling and this is what i came up with. Not too concerned about objectives because ill combat squad out the 3 assault squads which will give me 6 scoring units. in objective games vanguard vets will combat squad out sending 1 fist to a combat squad and 1 thunder hammer sarge to the other half. honor guard nuke the biggest pita on the board. i added some hand flamers for anti horde dropped one squad of assault marines picked up some upgrades on priests added the vets heroic intervention will most likely be very handy. i think it could be a very strong deep strike list. that offers mobility after the initial melta charge. with astorath giving red thirst on a 1-3 the novitiate and the 2 priests most of the board should be bubbling furious charge hopefully. Should also be a lot of fnp. I can definitely say that ap 2 plasma spam would be tough to take but hope fully after turn 2 ill be in assault. im gonna play test it and see what happens but still would like to hear your thoughts. Also thanks to all who welcomed me to the site!

I like your list. I would swap out one of the honor guard's melta weapons for flame throwers. they compliment each other very well. it would be good to carry storm shields on your sergeants if you can find the points just that one 3++ can make a huge difference. your list is solid I agree with giving everything jump packs. descent of angels is awesome.

I saw your 2nd list my advice dont take the sanguinary priests they're a better buy when you get them in your honor guard squad and you already have 2 of those.

Swap out at least one assault squad's meltaguns to flamers. You have an 18" kill radius for tanks, and a really bad one for orkz/nids. I like the hand flamers, but it's nice to have at least a second template.

i appreciate what you are saying with the flamers but i honestly dont play against horde enough for them to make a real difference at this point.
