Right, I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this one and the rulebook is pretty specific, but if someone could confirm it for me it would be great .

Okay, so this tyranid player that I play often insists that power weapons only affect 1 of your attacks, and whatever I do I cannot convince him otherwise. Can someone just say that power weapons make all your attacks negate armour saves because this guy is really annoying.

His objection may have something to do with he fact that he has never beaten me .

Tried reading the rulebook?

Pg 42

"Models wounded in Close Combat by the attacks of a model armed with a Power Weapon are not allowed Armour Saves"

Aramoro

Violence isn't the answer, I just like getting it wrong on purpose.

That sounds like something from 4th (or maybe 3rd) edition. It sounds familiar but certainly not in the current rulebook.

Definitely not 4th edition, or even3rd. Possibly 2nd when attacks were much more "individual"....

He may also be confusing tech marines servo harness, which only ever makes 1 attack at S8 (2 for a full)

It's never been a rule of 40K, at least from 2nd edition onwards.

I believe there was a rule in some older editions of Warhammer Fantasy that required you to split attacks between your weapons if you were carrying different types in each hand... For some reason, it has persisted as a fairly common misconception in 40K.

Bingo. That would be what I remeber. Thank you, I was starting to think I had early onset senility.
