Just out of curiosity and what not...a little fluff as well

The farseers of the eldar, are they all old?

"We are the wolf that stalks
The stars in the sky

And swallows the star-fire

We hide amongst the night
When light is gone

The Light is within us

We run the ruin of Fire
In the darkness

Foes burn in our passing "

"The weak will always be led by the strong. Where the strong see purpose and act, the weak follow; where the strong cry out against fate, the weak bow their heads and succumb. There are many who are weak; and many are their temptations. Despise the weak for they shall flock to the call of the Daemon and the Renegade. Pity them not and scorn their cries of innocence - it is better that one hundred innocently fall before the wrath of the Emperor than one kneels before the Daemon."

Compared to humans, all Eldar are old.

Depends on what you read . Some state Eldar live around 1,000 years.....however Eldrad was over 10,000 years old before he died......

In other pieces of fluff they state when a Seer gets so old, he begins turning to crystal...and is fused inside the Dome of the Crystal Seers. It also states that the Seer pathway is one of the most difficult and many have completed/stopped other paths...so in relation to other Eldar, yeah they would be old.

Is the Space pope reptilian?

They are fairly, to very old as others have stated.

Nonsense, Farseers like all Eldar can GET old, but not all are old.
Ela'Ashbel from the craftworld Kaelor for instance showed her farseeing talents since childhood. (character invented by Abnett for the Dark Millenium card game and misused by Goto in a short story)

There are of course, sundry child prodigies - but in general, yes, they are old.

Farseers are, essentially Exarchs. They have become lost on the path of the Seer - and that takes time.

Whilst you're correct about them being stuck, there's every chance that a younger Eldar on the path of the seer might get stuck as well. I'd guess owing perhaps to temperament you might tend to get eldar who have already travelled down more life paths finding themselves called to the path of the seer, but once yu're on a path there's no age requirement/similar that helps against the "addiction".

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

is there any reason to think that the other craftworlds are better adept when it comes to their farseers, i mean Ulthwe are recognized as being the best being so close to the EOT

Thing is my last few pages of my codex got ruined in some rain and the eavymetal showcases with the little info on the other craftworlds is also finished. So im trying to find some information regarding the other craftworlds if not find some where i can get just the last few pages of the eldar codex. Be a shame to have to get a new one entirely.

Ulthwe are more renowned for it due to their proximity to the EoT - which kind of mandates a more expansive psychic core to the armed forces.

When you are surrounded by daemons and gibbering hordes, having psychic defences is a big priority.
