I'm now collecting information about "The Fated",Blood Raven 5th Company.

The Fated

The Blood Ravens 5th company is known as the 'Fated', and though the reasons for this are obscure, it may go back to an incident recorded in the annals of the Chapter's Librarium, but never spoken of openly. In M38 the entire 5th company was recorded as having been lost in the Warp, but the truth of the matter may be by far darker. It is whispered that one of the company Librarians was seduced by the lure of the ruinous powers, and turned his fellow brethren to Chaos. This notion is by and large dismissed by the Chapter today, but for unknown reasons the current members of the Blood Ravens 5th Company wear badges of redemption, penitence and shame upon their armor suits.[1] During the Aurelian Crusade Gabriel Angelos remarked the fact the 5th company is only allowed a single librarian at any time. This is strange since the chapter incorporates so many psykers including two battle squads of the first company being made completely of librarians.

Yes,really interesting. And I'm thinking about use them as Chaos Space Marine.

I have sevral question here about Fated. I know some of them are not told but anyway if anyone have info,let me know.

1.Who did lead 5th company "The Fated"?
2.Is 5th company exist in current Blood Raven?
3.What color are "The Fated" wear?

And about Blood Raven,some question here.

1.In new book "Thousand Sons" is there any indicating TSon is their Founding chapter?
2.New game Chaos Rising(which I dont own),Is there any new fact about Blood Raven revealed?

I'm fan of Blood Raven. I like their librarian heavy idea.
And I like "dark background".
So use corrupted Blood Raven is ultimate fun.

The 5th company was lost on their battle barge in the warp where they fought a genestealer infestation and Chaos corruption, when they eventually emerged the marines were either dead or tainted by chaos. The current Chapter Master of the Ravens, along with the honor guard, are heretics

You can, obviously, do whatever you like, but I'm not so sure how 'canon' the videogame fluff really is.

To date, GW hasn't really told us much of anything about the Blood Ravens...

The Blood Raven's are Relic's personal chapter so in this case it's quite cannon.

Yes. The colors of the Blood Ravens aren't that different from Pre-heresy T-sons. T-sons had also "ravens" in their organizational
scheme. Ahriman had a vision of a raven, a blood drop and a marine and called one of the BR Libbys brother in a BL book.
So:
-chapter color scheme
-Psyker heavy geneseed and interest in knowledge
-hints like "a thousand sons" has
Would assume its pretty safe to make a case of BR = TS geneseed.

Everywhere else, not so sure!


More like Relic's corner of the galaxy. That's the good thing about 40K you can always have you own little sector. Abnett's got The Sabbat Worlds. Dark Millinium has the Calixis sector. Don't know where DoW is.

Space hulk was the blood angels. Not the blood ravens. Although, Blood ravens are Tsons and Blood Angels succesors (DoW2 item states Blood ravens as Blood angels succesors[What, thats not a spolier]), so I would... wait. Chaos corrupted DEATH COMPANY! OH NOES!

Before I'll go into story mode, you may know, or not that Games Workshop made a index Astartes, from which this thing about the 5th company came from! It may not be canon at all since the blood ravens are relics' own chapter but this is what is known.

Spoiler:
The space hulk which appeard in sub-sector Aurelia is "The Judgement of Carrion" which Apothecary Galan led a expedition in with parts of the 5th company.
They were trapped in the ship for a untold time, when it randomly stopped at a frozen planet, (Planet Aurelia) a young librarian emerged from the ice planet. Where he had defeated the great unclean one, Ulkair.
Librarian Azariah Kyras, he helped but later betrayed his brothers, corrupting them.
When Kyras and Galan later returned, they were greeted like heros, and soon Kyras became chapter master and chief librarian of the Blood Ravens.


Spoiler:
The battle brothers who died in the space hulk were replaced, by who is not known! By chapter records one is still serving in the honor guard, while another one died in Kaurava, who scout Sergeant Cyrus didn't recall.


So it can be guessed that Kyras was the librarian they speak of in the index, or not.
Not much more is really known about them.

I think as mentioned, DOW2 is about the Fated. The plot twist and story line fills in your answer as it goes through the game. their the Fated
