The Hades Breaching Drill deploys by Subterranean Assault, much like the Mawloc. However, it seems as though the Drill has the ability to *move Bastions* (and presumably lesser buildings) out of the way.

"If any models (including Bastions, etc.) are touched by the template, they are hit by the breaching drill's melta-blast and whirling powerblades...[rules for damaging models hit]...the drill is then centered on the spot from which it emerged, and any surviving models caught in the blast are moved 1" away from the drill....small removable terrain should be taken off the table. In the case of large pieces of terrain, move the drill as it emerges so it is as close to the target point as you can get it."

I would have thought that a Bastion counts as a "large piece of terrain", but Bastions are specifically and explicitly included in the definition of "models" in the same paragraph. "Any surviving models" are moved 1" away from the drill. It seems pretty clear RAW, though I'm not sure that moving a Bastion was intended.

Hey, if you successfully Subterranean Assault into the middle of a Fortress of Redemption, you'd have to move that sucker a fair distance to make sure that any part of it was 1" away from the drill.

Thoughts?

while strict RAW may not agree, i'd say the fortress is a large terrain piece and you use that effect. by trying to purposely include bastions in the rules, they've managed to muddy the waters... :(

RAW as it is, bastion-moving seems like what would happen. However, scooting a fortress of redemption around the land seems a bit odd. I'd probably make a house rule, and replace the bunker with rubble or a crater, representing the face that a large breaching drill armed with melta charges, even if it doesn't destroy the infrastructure, will certainly render the bunker internally unmannable.

In the case of large stuff like the fortress of redemption, either move the drill, or point at the part of the fortress it surfaced under and say "right, that bit is now rubble."

This is Daemonic Cheese:

I'd put a quote here, but XKCD would have a better one.
