2500 pt tourney coming up.
Slaan, BSB, Rampagers Standard (reroll charge dice) Focus mystery (all spells 1 lore), Focused Rumination 9Free power dice), Becalming cogination (enemy mage discard 6's on casting) , soul of stone (reroll miscasts), Cupped hands of the old ones (on 2+ give miscast to enemy wizard) LIFE MAGIC!!! = 550
Saurus scar vet, lt armour, cold one, shield (now AS1), Sword strife (+2 attack), Luckstone (reroll 1 AS) = 160
20 Saurs, Spears, Champ, Muso, St bearer = 270
15 saurus, champ, muso, st bear = 195
20 skinks, muso, standard (2 ranks of 10, run at enemy throw javs, then stand and shoot) = 1144
10 skink skirmisher = 70
16 Temple Guard, Champ, muso, st bear, Rangers standard (strider) = 336. So with the SMP they are ITP, stubborn, charge 4 + 3d6, taking highest 2 and can reroll the charge dice LOL
Stegadon = 235
4 Terradons = 120
3 salamander = 225
3 salamanders = 225
TOTAL = 2495
Want to try 2 units of salamanders vs the large masses of infantry that have sprung up in tourney games.

I don't see Soul of Stone but I see Earthing Rod in the BRB.
I think people go a little crazy with Cupped Hands and Becalming. Cupped hands is single use. And Becalming has to be within 24" and it's a single target only. As a life mage, you'll be closer to your own troops than theirs most likely, but it depends on map size, etc. But that's like 170 points for 2 single use items and one ability that, if they have no casters, is pretty much useless, and even if they do, it's only going to be used once.
Also, page 503 says only the BSB can carry a magic standard. You can make others regular Standar Bearers.

Looks pretty good to me, although i think having another 20 man block of Saurus would help, imho.
@DukeRustfield: Soul of Stone is a dicipline of the ancients, becalming is useful as most battlefields start 24" away. cupped hands gets you out of trouble, very useful imo. Magic standards can be taken by temple guard, says in lizzie book and army book trumps BRB.
Of course, ymmv, this is just imo.

The slann has some exceptions, and I think his is legal.
I'm missing some of the acronyms- AS, SMP?
I feel like your temple guard need more numbers- you've put quite a bit of points into making sure they can charge something when they want to, but will they make it there? Only 16 of them... and when they do get there, will they have enough numbers to do the job?
Also, I'm assuming the slann gets an exception to the different base sizes not granting a "Look Out, Sir!"?
Looks well thought out, but I'm just not sure about that unit being solid enough to form the anchor you'll need in the middle of everything.

I also agree about the TG size, something like 20 or 25 would be better imo.

AS does = armour save.
i'll be dropping the standard on the skinks, not necessary as the scenarios won't be using the break point rules
Also becalming is there to stop the mage with the devestating 'remove unit/ I based tests' spells such as purple sun.
I have no problem with 24 inch range, I will be running as fast as I can to get into combat with the enemy.
Cupped hands is there for when the Throne of vines doesn't go off. Also as a bonus it should kill the enemy mage it is dumped on, thus making me even more magic dominant.
Negating a miscast on a SMP is ALWAYS worth it.

But are you that dominant in combat that you'll want to get there that fast? I really don't see the list being very overpowering in hand-to-hand...

I'll be grinding the enemy, with my 3 combat units, the steg is a hammer and the rest is just to thin the enemy.
In 7th I'd take a unit of 4 kroxigor.
But the points have gone into larger saurus units.
Ideally I'd love a unit of 6 kroxigor (I have 9 painted and parts for another 7) but they are a massive point sink, and the only reason I wanted them was to kill steam tanks and with its new T10, there is little point.
If they had kept them at St7 when they did the current book I'd take them no problems, but at St6 with WS3.... just isn't enough in most circumstances.
