For my Guard army, I wanted to add some beatsen to act as conscripts/penal troops.

I remember seeing more then a few beastmen guard armies, and was wodneirng if anybody could provie some tips/tricks or tutorials on how to convert them?

The bare catachan arms work very well with beastmen bodies. I used a mix of catachan, cadian & beastman plasitc boxes and just kit-bashed the holy(unholy?) crap out of them. Using the ungor heads on the bodies of the cadians looks pretty good and is quick and easy (the beastmen heads are too big). I think that you can get just ungors now, so that should also make life a bit easier for you & your wallet! Good Luck & be sure to post some pics when you're done!

What I did with a old traitor guard army was take a box of gors and a box of cadians/catachans and use the legs and head of the gor and the chest and arms of the guardsmen.

I remember seeing a bunch of Cadians with ungor heads, but that's about it. Looked pretty good, though.
