I played the closet game i've ever played against GoDz BuZzSaW today AT GW.

He had 1 commander with m pod and plasma rifle and shield genarator and 2 body gaurds with shields, fusion blaser and burstcannon hw multi tracker and some other thing,
12 fire woriors with pc's and 12 with pr's,
14 kroot (1 was shaper with pr)
1 hammer head with rail gun and some upgrades i can't remember,

and i had hive tyrant with bs and lw and devourers, adenal gland and shell,
x2 hive gaurd
49 gaunts (didn't have enough for 4 squads or 12)
x3 warriors adrenal gland deathspitersx2 1 venomcannon,
x3 warriors adrenal gland deathspitersx2 1 barbed strangler,
and a mawloc with no upgrades.

The game was a 3 objective game which lasted 5 turns (then a 1 was rolled)
he went first and after turn 2 things were looking good for me with one of his squads nerely runing off the table because of my tyrants "the horror" (which i did roll a double 1 when using which lukly failed to wound me) so after turn 2i had 2 objectives he had 1. the his commander came down and killed my tyrant with fusion blasters and plasma rifle fire. my turn 3 my mawloc came up and ate one of his body gaurds the commander and other both bases inv. by turn 4 my gaunts had taken heavy casultysbut at least his hammer head couldent fire thanks to my hive gaurd, his commander alown managed to beat 3 wounds into my warriors after losing 2 him self. turn five in a desperat attempt to stop him from getting an objective i moved and assulted his kroot loosing 5 wounds my self and only killing 3! (5 out of 7 3 up saves failed) but lukily i managed to bas my saves and the end for being fearless and hold out to the end were the score was 2 contested and one held... by me

it was close lol

I have only played tau with my 'nids one time, and that was with the 4th ed. codex back in october 09. I'd love to play a matchup with some of our new goodies vs. the greater good. congrats on the win.

As a side note, the hive tyrant would have taken a wound from perils no matter what. He has no invulnerable save, and perils ignores armor. He died anyway from tau shiny guns, but just a heads-up for your next game.

My neighbor plays tau...he's just shelved them for a while because he wants to get his orks up to speed.

Na its instant wound with no armor or cover save and you have to re roll succesfull invulnerable save
