Hey everyone, I have a few questions concerning some Dark Angels fluff. I've looked at the Lexicanum already, which did help answer some questions. Some I just need a confirmation on, others I genuinely don't know. Well, here it goes.

1. What color is Lion El'Jonson's hair? I remember reading in the 3rd edition codex that it was dirty blonde. Did that change in the Horus Heresy novels?

2. During the 13th Black Crusade, was Cypher truly the "Voice of the Emperor"? Or is that still just speculation?

3. What worlds did the Dark Angels fight on during the 13th Black Crusade?

4. Lion El'Jonson is still sleeping down in The Rock. Would his power armor still be pre-heresy black?

5. The Angels of Absolution, Redemption, and Vengeance, together with the Dark Angels, are "The Unforgiven". Does this mean The Guardians of the Covenant, Consecrators, and Disciples of Caliban are not part of The Unforgiven? Do they know nothing about The Fallen and Luther?

Thanks in advance for the help.

1.I dont know about it.

1.I dont know about it. But I want to know too.

3.I dont know about it.

4.I don't think so. They paint green during heresy. To not do friendly fire.

5.All of them are Unforgiven. All of them have different purpose tho. In my thought,"Disciples of Caliban" are made to hunt Cypher.

1. According to the fluff and the official pictures I've seen, the Lion had blonde hair... dirty or not, I don't know.
2. I wouldn't think that Cypher would have been the "voice of the Emperor" during the 13th crusade, as this was post-heresy.
3. According to the 13th Black Crusade:
• Azrael withdraws the support of the Dark Angels for Cadia, claiming any engagements involving the Traitor Legions were Astartes business only and of no concern to others. The 13th Black Crusade pg. 30
• Dark Angels and 3 Successors (not named) form Task Force Shadowguard based on Ex Lucan VII to combat Dark Eldar during the 13th Black Crusade. The 13th Black Crusade pg. 48
• Abandon their positions during the defense of the Sentinel Worlds to hunt down “the Voice”. The 13th Black Crusade pg. 74
• Space Wolves and Dark Angels join forces during the battle of Kasr Tyrok on Cadia. The 13th Black Crusade pg. 79
• Battle of Kasr Partox. The 13th Black Crusade pg. 84
Consider, too, that the Dark Angels fielded all 10 companies, as sis the Angels of Absolution. The Angels of Vigilance brought 5 companies.
4. Since the Lion died during the Heresy, it could be either colour or something special for the Primarch.
5. All of the Dark Angels successor chapters have an Inner Circle and a force organization similar to the parent chapter. Only member of the Inner Circles know about the "secret." Some chapters have some unique traits, like the Angels of Vengeance almost wiping themselves out from their aggressiveness. The Disciples of Caliban are rumoured to be the hunters of Cypher himself.

"4. Since the Lion died during the Heresy, it could be either colour or something special for the Primarch."

The Lion is dead? Since when? Everything I've ever read, going back to 2nd edition, says that he was never found after his battle with Luther. At the moment he's just sleeping at the center of The Rock, being watched over by the Watchers in the Dark.

Thank you both for the replies.
