Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I canceled out of the LA Invasion GT (if you can call it a GT) because they went from a 5 game 2 day event to a one day 4 game event, and I was not going to drive all the way from Phoenix to LA for that.

So when they sent me the e-mail about the change, I wrote them back saying that I would be unable to attend and I would like a refund of my entrance fee.

I have written to them several times through e-mail and I have not heard back from them ever, so I wanted to try one last time with GW events before I have to take the law into my own hands.

So does some one have GW events e-mail?

Reece canceled too, and he heard back from them and I wonder if he ever got a refund.

In my happy place, I'm in my happy place...

Unfortunately this is not a GW event but is run by Avalon games out of Seattle. He has billed a bunch of his tickets out as non-refundable but usually tries to work with people.

The email I have for him is bouncing now, so you can go to the link for ConquestGT and the contact info there will get you in touch with him.

the link is http://conquestgt.avalongamecon.com/

To be honest that is one of the reasons I didn't cancel. I'd paid for it to far in the past to use Paypal to get a refund and I'd heard horror stories about people that paid for Vegas having tons of trouble getting their money back. Take it worth a grain of salt but if you have other means of retrieving money I'd start looking into it Blackmoor.

Well even if they said that the tickets were non-refundable they are refundable due to their actions.

What we had was a contract where they would provide the event/services and I would pay them money. When they unilaterally changed the contract, our contract was broken and that part about it being non-refundable is no longer valid and I am allowed a refund (the other side of it is if they did not change the event and delivered what they promised I would not be allowed a refund if they do have a no refund policy).

Again they changed the tournament to a one day event from a 2-day event, they changed it from a 5 game GT to a 4 game GT, they changed the venue etc.

Although GW events is not part of the group that was running those GTs, they are part of the GW tournament circuit I thought it would be good for them to know what was going on and re-think doing business with this group. They are providing free advertising for them, and they would not be getting anyone at their events if it was not for GW sanctioning these events with a Golden Ticket to Las Vegas.

They canceled their Vegas GT, and I wonder if those people got their money back.

Since I have not heard from them, I will write to the Avalon Hill Convention people to try to put some pressure on them, and if that does not work I will have to take it to the next level.

Just a heads up Blackmoor but they are also no longer recieving support from GW for their tournaments. No more golden tickets or prize support will be going out for Mr. Vega's events due to what happened in Vegas and LA. So there's that at least
