Seems like the History Channel 'Top Shot' show is specifically targetting... (via facebook advertisement) ->> "WARHAMMER FANS!"

I was browsing the web for a new phone and about 3 seconds later, I checked my facebook and there was like 5 ads for new phones on sale.

Falling victim to one of the oldest internet tricks on the books!

I wouldn't really care. They simply took an ad and changed it so it looked like it was relevant to something you had on your interests list.

The thing is - as an Internet Marketer / SEM - it is intentional.

The science (not really) behind is that the advertiser (History channel) goes to facebook selects 'favored' keywords in which they want to 'target' the customers/viewers.
This means that the History Channel specifically typed in the keywords 'warhammer' - - facebook then matched that keyword to my cookies.

End result - History Channel >> specifically 'warhammer' keyword.

Again- just a random blurb. hah

I had the same ad show up, but said WARCRAFT instead..

It's possible that, going by the wording of the ad, they might be talking about games like Warhammer and Warcraft on tonight's show.

Or it could be blatantly misleading bull****. Watch it, and then tell us what happened.
