your list clearly lack in multi-tracker..... aslo your crisis suit didn't have enough plasma rifle.... also I'll use the special issue weapons like the cyclic ion cannon and airbursting fragmentation in the bodyguard-commander team.

you didn't have kroot so you are really vulnerable to assaults: i always use a big squad of kroot with a lot of hounds that have 3 attaks in cherge and attack with AC 4 and I 5.

I really like the scouts but i use them with the sniper drone team that usually pin down a squad with the markers. you don't use broadside armor too that are a great piece cause have the twin linked rail cannon and can have the twin linked plasma rifle for only 10 points.

my advice is to add a kroot team with hounds drop a crisis squad for 2 broadside and check the rules for the crisis suit equip expecially the bodyguard cause your looks really poor: a bodyguard should always have:

-2 plasma rifle or a twin linked one
-another weapon like the ciclic ion cannon
-hard wired mult traker
-hard wired drone controller
-and hard wired target lock (if he has anti infantry and anti tanks weapon)

All right, I'll Drop a crisis team and the pathfinder team and replace them with more Special Issue Weaponry and some Broadside and Kroot Units. Thanks for the help.

- you can't have 2 separate weapon systems of the same type on one model without twin-linking them.
-CIB, stim, and shield generators are too expensive to be worth it most of the time
-You should fill your elite slots before trying to get bodguards, because they are simply more expensive
-You should have disruption pods on all your vehicles. I also suggest a multitracker on the hammerhead to fire as if youre fast.
- your firewarrior shas'ui doesnt need a markerlight. Your firewarriors should just stick in your devilfishes and stay alive. If you jump out to shoot stuff in an objective game, they will be killed if you do that.
-try to trim points from places such as firewarriors (smaller squads) and some other things to get more heavy support. Either 2x broadsides or another hammerhead would be good there.

Save points and use a Shas'el and a Target Array to keep the same Ballistic Skill.

TauCommander13 wrote:Bodyguard- 2 Shas'vre 1st Shas'vre Shield Generator Fusion Blaster

The first set of bodyguard needs a third 'hard point' in addition to the FB and SG. Plus, all these suits, shooting at different targets aren't going to really get the job done well. See below.**

In another C&C today, I listed the reasons for why a 'vre upgrade is worthless. When you made your list, you didn't check the other tau lists on Dakka?

Trust me. Only promote to Team Leader, and only if you're adding a Bonding Knife. 'Vre is worthless.

Check below.

Without a MT, the fish has to sit still to fire both the BC and SMS. Add an MT, TA and the Cover Save a DisPod gives for a good gunboat called a Warfish. Either that, or just use a stripped down 'fish, with just DisPod.

TauCommander13 wrote:Hammerhead Gunship Railgun Burst Cannons
Add a MT so it can move Combat speed and fire both sets of guns. DisPod, too, everytime.

The railrifles take away from the unit's purpose: MarkerLights. Go all MLs with Pathfinders. And the D'fish needs the help I mentioned above.

TauCommander13 wrote:I don't know how well this would work so please tell me your views..... Good OR Bad.
**Bad, mostly because the Crisis units are honked up. Focus the unit's purpose and guns. Each suit should be the same. Target Locks mean that you'll have one or two shots at whatever it is you're shooting at, and it won't be enough. Tau armies work best on focused purpose, volume fire. I only ever put a Target Lock on my Railheads as the RG hits a tank and the other guns hose infantry.

Crisis Suits are best run pairs of suits that are TL-MP-flamer, BC/MP/MT or PR/MP/MT (not in that order). With MarkerLight help, they'll make an impact.

Do read AdvancedTautactica.com. It vastly improved my game.

These changes are a bad idea. Pathfinders make a tau army rock. Don't lose them.

*More* SIW?.

I never use it.

B-sides and kroot are good though. Really, do a couple weeks of lurking at ATT.com.
