I am pretty proud of him...this is the third or fourth conversion I have ever made for anything...and I needed some dakka for an upcoming tournament.

That's an awful picture - it's blurry, out of focus, and small. Try taking some closer pictures from more angles.

Not the most encouraging responses there. It was stated that it was only their 2nd conversion.
Good job! My only concern is that I think those new big Nids are supposed to be on the super big base like the mawloc is.

Yeah, it should be much bigger, with a bigger gun. Perhaps something based on the Trygon.

Looks neat. I'd love to see a better photo.

What led you to that conclusion?

Because they have 6 wounds. Besides, don't you see how that thing is crammed onto that base? It looks like a stiff wind could topple it right off.

Number of wounds has never dictated base size, and pretty much every 40k model looks like it's about to topple of it's base.
Not that I disagree. It could certainly stand to be on a larger base. But saying it's SUPPOSED to be on a larger base is untrue.

The Tyrannofex is going to be made on a base larger than 60mm. I would gamble with you on this, thinking a battle force size bet?
Their going to be on the new oval bases most probably, next best guess would be they'll be a 'walker' model - most deff not 60mm material however.

Whether or not the Tyrannofex will come with a certain base if/when it is released is beside the point. At the moment it has no listed base size, so your claim that it is SUPPOSED to be on a larger base size is incorrect. You may have a preference that it should be on a larger base, and you may even have a theory that supports the preference, but you aren't in a position to dictate how it is SUPPOSED to be.

So why don't we put necrons on 40mm bases ?

That's quite promising indeed, I wouldn't worry too much about bases sizes and the like.
If you get or can do some better pics you should add them here and we'll move this to the P & M section.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

Ah the picture was taken by phone camera...I wasn't expecting quality when I posted it...I just wanted a general idea about what people though of the general shape.
I am sticking with this base size because it makes sense to me and models to my advantage (^_^)
