I got my first ten man squad and man am I confused. It seems it would be best to pin the arms but I've never pinned anything before so I could be wrong. Also, it seems that you have to cut the grip off of the gun in order to get it on the model. Is that all correct or am I missing something?

There's no need to pin all-plastic kits if you use plastic cement instead of superglue, although gluing metal arms to plastic torsos or vice versa can certainly benefit from pinning.

But yes, you need to cut the pistol grip off the weapons.

You don't even need to pin models if you're using superglue, really. Plastics hold together really well.

The only time I pin plastic is where I have a super weak join that I want to reinforce. But arms to shoulders is not a weak join.
