completely new to inquisitor/specialist 40k and fantasy games in general, have only played original 40k in the past

was wondering what models are allowed for an actual inquisitor game? like, do you have to use a 50mm model or can you just use normal minis

Just a man, standing in front of a paint pot, trying to remeber if I rinsed boltgun metal in it.

Depends a lot on the players and their terrain sets.

54mm works fine with GW CoD terrain (3" level height) and 1" per yard movement rate.

It's also played in 28mm, using regular 40k figures, and a smaller yard-inches ratio (I've seen both 1cm=1yd & 1/2"=1yd used) but then CoD ruins become double sized.
[standard level on a building is usually around the 3m/10' mark so the 1"=1 yard is a close enough match.]

These other scale games are known variously as =I=munda and =I=28 (AFAIK).

Then you have 'purists' who maintain that it should only be played in 54mm. Often, These are also the people who believe that the colour scheme determines what codex you play for a given faction.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

ah, i know the type (one got all snarky when i had an adhoc army list that didn't follow the 'rules' even though my opponent was fine with it)

hm, from what i've read =I=munda looks pretty cool, im just sussing out the whole skirmish scene as i have a hankering to make an inquisitorial squad
