I personally dont see the metalic shine in that picture. It just looks like a dark red over a black base coat that is blended (or perhaps some carefull ink tints) up to a brighter red.

It almost looks like the red was started using Scab Red, then highlighted up to blood red. No yellows or anything else used.

The Feet have a clear view of what was done. No metalics, just some very carefull blending.
