First attempt at a battle report and unfortunately I forgot my camera so next fight ill be sure to remember it. Anyways it was against along time friend and his CSM army

His list

2 Demon princes both with wings and MoK (he usually runs lash princes but decided to try something different)

2 squads of 10 zerkers in a rhino skull champ and fist

1 squad of 7 or 8 marines in rhino

1 defiler

2 squads of 2 oblits

My list was my first shot at orks

Gahzzy

Mek KFF

2 squads of 12 boys Nod PK in truck Rpj ram

1 squad of 17 boyz Nob PK

2 squads of 1 deffkopta with buzzsaw and TL rokkits

12 burnas

13 kommandos and snikrot with 2 burnas

2 battle wagons deffrollas armor plates big shootas grot riggers.



So the board has a big hill with trees in the middle then in each deployment zone there are some ruins in each corner and a couple small trees in the center.

Mission was annihilation and deployment…..uh the one with a 12in deployment zone across the board.

I choose first turn and deploy in a cluster 12in up behind the center piece of terrain and put my koptas on my left flank. Snikrot and kommandos in reserve

My friend never playing against orks before put 2 oblits on his far right in some ruins and both zerker rhinos just to the left of the oblits then the other squad of oblits in a terrain piece right in the center of the board Vanilla marines rhinos and princes go to the left of the oblits and finally the defiler in far right corner with a clear LOS across most of the
Board

I turbo boost in the scout move and come up close to his 2 rhinos and he try’s to steal the ini but fails.

Turn 1
Orks

Every thing moves forward 13in one truck bravely heads towards defiler on the right, ghazzy’s ride with the burnas head towards one prince and mek battlewagon with the 17 boyz follows close. One truck stays close but the boyz are hootin and hollering at stupid point headed zerkers hiding in rhino.

Shooting is quite uneventful. 1 Deffkopta stuns one rhino and the other misses completely. All big shoots fail at hitting anything.

Assaults see one kopta destroy a rhino and the other whiffs.

CSM

Now he readies his counter attack both princes fly towards the BWs zerkers stay in the rhino (not sure why but they did) defiler moves towards truck and vanilla marines stay put as well.

Shooting both oblits squad take aim at the battle wagons and whiffs their shots. Zerkers shoot at defkopta that destroyed their rhino and inflict one wound defiler shoots at truck and explodes it! Nothing cool happens as the truck stays in place. Only 2 wounds were caused and I saved one.

Assaults. Drock (my opponent) Thinks long and hard about what to do he has a prince assault Ghazzys ride and was not sure whether to assault the truck boyz or help the other prince. Finally he decides to assault the truck boys hoping that he would be able to take the hits and wipe the squad. DP that charged the battle wagon and hits once and causes no damage.

The Other Prince charges the truck boyz since im still in the crater of the trucks explosion I go first(ha ha stupid DP gonna get owned) yup…..boys have a really hard time mustering up the strength to hurt the prince and I only cause one wound… Prince comes back with a torrent of attacks and hits twice and wounds both times…. (He must have been blinded by his own rage) The nob disgusted by this piss poor fight he has seen so far decides to clip the prince twice with his PK and inflict 2 wounds and the prince saves one. I lose but pass the LD

Turn 2
Orks

So snikrot decides to join the fun and comes on Drocks board edge right behind the blits hiding in cover. Ghazzy jumps out of the BW with his burnas and decides to show this prince what a real fighter can do. The BW tank shocks the prince who decides he doesn’t want 2d6 hits and takes one wound from 5 hits (fail) the truck on my right heads towards the zerkers who are still in the crater and the meks BW heads towards the zerkers as well. Both koptas move behind the other rhino for rear shots.

Shooting really fails again as the defkoptas miss everything nothing else can shoot cause ghazzy realizes he is gonna be at the butt end of all the princes attacks so he calls his WAAAAGGGHHH!! Boys in the trucks have since jumped out and ran towards zerkers and snikrot and his gang wait to charge the blits. Gahzzys ride speeds back to get in line to tank shock the defiler

So here we go deffkoptas charge rhino, Ghazzy charges prince, snikrot charges blits, and boys charge into zerkers. Well let’s go from bad to good. Deffkoptas fail to pen at all. Boyz struggle against zerkers but manage to kill 4 will losing 6 the skull champ whiffs and the nob only add one more zerker dead to the tally. I lose one more boy to fearless wounds.

Snikrot causes one wound on the blits and the boyz finish the rest.

The prince in combat with the truck boyz still seems to angry to do much of anything but does kill 3 boyz While he save against the boyz attacks back The nob again inflict a wound an I lose one more boy to fearless wounds.

Big bad daddy prince directs all his attacks on Ghazzy (I mentioned that he could kill the burnas outright and that ghazzy had a 2+ inv but he wanted Big poppas blood) One wound later from the prince Ghazzy doesn’t claim the princes head but his burnas sliced the prince to bits. Ghazzy spreads out since the defiler will be dropping a template on him next turn and snikrot climbs farther into cover.

CSM

Well not as bad as we thought it would be but now we got some clean up to do. Zerkers in rhino jump out, defiler comes forward vanilla marines jump out and move towards ghazzy and burnas. Oblits move towards koptas

Zerkers shoot at one kopta and kill it! Bet you really wanted to charge the kopta huh? Too bad ahahhahahahah. Blits fire meltas at other kopta and melt it to molten ork slag vanilla marines don’t shoot? (I informed him that ghazzy is only slow and purposeful so ill be lucky to catch his marines but...) defiler shoots at kommandos but scaters off and only hits 2 which I save but does hit and kill a burna.

Assaults see the vanilla marines charge Ghazzy and burnas. DP and truck boys finally finish combat as the prince kills all the boys and puts a wound on the nob the takes one more wound off the prince and dies himself to fearless wounds. The vanilla marines that charged ghazzy kill 5 burnas and give ghazzy a wound. The burnas kill four marines and ghazzy in all his glory only needs to wound 3 times with 5 attacks and kills 2 marines…..
Zerkers finish off the reaming of the truck boyz that assaulted them but drop to 4 members left.

Turn 3
Orks

Well the BW that was moving to tank shock the defiler now has a wounded demon prince limping around right in front of him…A nasty yellow toothed smile appears across his lips as he slams on the gas. The other BW takes aim at the zerkers and blits with his deffrolla as the dead boyz truck zooms away to not give up an easy kill point.

Zerkers move out of the way and lose one member to the rolla and the blits take aim with their melta guns blits mange to shoot off the big shoota but take 9 s10 hits and fail 2 saves bye bye blits. The demon prince too winded from the fight with the truck boyz gives way to the BW but doesn’t move quickly enough and is crushed beneath the BW. Snikrot head out of cover to the remains of the zerker squad.

Shooting? HA Orks don’t shoot.

Assaults see the vanilla marine taking one more burna and the burnas getting lots of little chaos marine bits all over everywhere. Ghazzy then turns his attention to the defiler. Snikrot charges the zerkers and hits with 5 attacks and I roll 5 ones to wound….. Zerkers come back with fury unknown so far this battle and kill 8 kommandos! (This includes the skull champ) Kommados seem not to have the fight in them any more and only kill 2, and then they fail their LD but are able to run away.

CSM
Zerkers try and move away from the BW but cant get close enough to get in charge range of fleeing kommandos. Defiler moves forward and fleets straight at ghazzy Rhino moves towards the fleeing kommandos to take some pot shots at them.

Shooting sees the vanilla marines rhino kill one more burna and the other rhino misses the fleeing kommandos.

Assaults. The Demon engine wades in to combat with the biggest ork of them all Knowing full well the measly burns can’t harm it but that giant power klaw rivals its own pincers. But ghazzy with all his size and bulk proves to be faster and more agile than the defiler had thought and only takes a glancing blow knocking of one wound. Ghazzy laughs and decides the defiler should have one more round and fails to pen.

Turn 4
Orks
The 17 boys that haven’t seen any fighting yet jump out of the BW and move towards the last 2 reaming zerker squad the BW then decides to tank shock the 10 man zerkers to soften them up for the boys taking 3 zerkers with him. The dead boyz truck comes to exact revenge and shoots into the back of the rhino that shot at the kommandos and destroys it! Ork shooting at it finest  Gahzzy’s BW still dripping with demon blood rams the last rhino and destroys it as well.

Shooting sees the 17 boyz minus the mek shoot and kill one zerker and then dual charge the remaining zekers in an orgy of violence the boyz come out on top losing ten models but wiping the zerkers. It’s a good day to be an ork. The defiler again only manages one wound on ghazzy which he saves. Now ghazzy realizes that he can no longer toy with the defiler and has better things to do with his attacks back he explodes the defiler which takes the reaming burna boyz with it. Gahzzy then realizes what has happened lets out a long and loud laugh and mumbles he needs to bring Nobs with him next time and walks over to his blood spattered BW.

All in all it was a fun match I made a few mistakes and this was the first time Drock has fought orks so it was a great learning experience. Next time ill remember my camera though
