It is up to YOU my dear public citizens to decide who or what is the best inquisitor. It can be made up and he or she can be in books. START POSTING. Oh mine is Ravenor, or Eisenhorn. Still a huge debate thought. I'm halfway throguh ravenor. Oops off topic. Yeah post who you think is or could be a great inquisitor. ENJOY.

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.

Amberley Vail or Gregor Eisenhorn for me. Both great characters in their own right. I do hope old "Ironhoof" makes a reappearance some day .

The best inquisitor is the one nobody's heard of because s/he pulls the strings from the shadows.

Rofl. I think that a space marine captain would be an awesome inquistor or a chapter master. Or maybe a terminator seargeant. Scary if you saw that coming towards.

Pfeh. Space Marines are not skilled in investigative matters as the Inquisition is, and their battle-oriented mind makes them largely inadequate to the task. Space Marines are soldiers, but Inquisitors need be far more.

I don't understand the hate for Barzano in Nightbringer, I thought he was pretty ok for a character in that book, certainly better than Uriel was.

When they come out of basic training and join their brethren on the line, of course they don't. However, given a bit of a free leash and the opportunity to explore the galaxy outside of their Chapter, we have plenty of examples of Space Marines becoming quite adept at intrigue and subterfuge. Alpha Legion, for one, would be a prime example.

The only obvious choice is Battle-Brother Inquisitor Daemeus, once of the Imperial Fists.

How do I know he's the best made-up Inquisitor?

Because he wears Terminator Armor at all times, and he's never been caught. The baker across the street you invited into your Tzeentchian Cult? It was him. The reason your Pie was a bit flat was due to his AWESOME STRENGTH gripping the plate overly tightly. The beautiful woman you invited into your orgy of hedonism while you lavished praise onto the Dark Eldar who organized the whole thing?

Him. In Terminator armor. That's why your pelvis hurt so much after, you weren't worn out. It was Daemeus.

Even the father figure, who now after a 100 years you remember as a piercing smile and a great mustache, who you know drove you to become the best you could be (Which was a Baneblade pilot)

Him. in Terminator Armor. That's why he never gave too many hugs, the first one broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung.
