Marbo - 65
Chimera - 55
10 man veteran squad w/ 3 plasma guns - 115
Platoon Command Squad w/ heavy flamer and 3x flamer - 70
95 pts left to spend on perhaps a sentinel or another chimera or another veteran squad.
I think this is quite a solid list. Put the flamers in a chimera and try to find cover for the veterans. Anything that comes to close can:
If meq: Eat plasma and die! make sure you try kill any meltagunners so they cant asplode the chimera.
If hoarde: Have sufficient trouble killing the Chimera, and be roasted by the flamers firing out of firing points. Even if the chimera dies, the survivors will roast the hoard.
If tank: Uh...hadnt thought of that. Chuck in maybe a lascannon heavy weapons team? maybe a meltagun in the platoon squad and the veterans.
Idk if marbo is allowed because of reserves, please correct if wrong. But if he is either deployable at the start or infact can come in from reserves, he is extremely useful for throwing his suitcase of death and really ruining a Meq players day.

the list looks ok but PCS arent HQ they are troops so you need to add a CCS to make the list legal, I think you need to drop the PCS because you also need 2 non-vet guard squads= 100/95 you dont have the points

Marbo answers your questions for you:
Marbo always starts the game in reserve, even in missions that do not normally use this rule (He's Behind You, IG8, Pg 61)
So, yeah. He always starts in reserve. Briefcase away!

I am the very model of a Commissar Imperial.
I have knowledge of our enemies, both xenos and heretical.
Armies Thus Far:
~ 4,000 points.
~ 500 points (what? I'm working on it) |

plus, this isn't even all that scary for a low-points game. You've got a little bit of everything, which means your opponent will always have targets. A MEAN 400 point combat-patrol list looks like this:
vets with 3x melta
chimera
hellhound
Basilisk
In any case, combat patrols were something out of 4th ed, so their goofy special rules dont' make much sense now. Why not just play a regular, if low points, game?
