It includes side shots as well, just not any shots into the rear.

melta BOMBS are not "Melta" and are S8 anyway.

Also, since close combat attacks are not affected . . . Melta bombs are fine.

Depends on what you mean by that.

If it is a transport with a psyker embarked, the psyker may use its abilities on the embarked unit regardless of fire points.

PSAs do require a firepoint.

AKA:
Doom can be used on an enemy within 24" of the haul
Fortune and Guide can be used on the unit inside with the seer or on a friendly eldar unit within' 6" of the haul (including the transport they are in)
Storm and Mindwar require a firepoint so you can't be embarked.

This, I stopped short of mentioning. On purpose.

Even if they were, CC attacks against vehicles are always resolved against the rear armor (unless its a walker) so they wouldn't be effected anyways.

If Warhammer has taught me anything, it is that anything and everything can be solved by violence.

If we are discussing moot issues the restriction is on the arc the shot comes from, not on the arc it is resolved against.

This can rarely allow for rear armor hits that would still apply the Eldar shielding rules.

Are you sure Storm can't be used from inside a vehicle? It says on pg28 of the Eldar codex that Farseer psychic powers do not need line of sight unless otherwise noted. The only power on that page that needs line of sight is Mindwar.

Lost in the warp while searching for a new codex

its a psychic shooting attack so you need a fire point in order to be able to use it.

I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.

Mellow - BRB FAQ states you need a firepoint if you are using psychic shooting attacks.
