Rules state that when a vehicle explodes you place a crater where the model was IF you have one. What do you do if you don't have craters? What would do in a tournament where the TO hasn't specified?

I usually turn have a piece of paper that is the same size as the vehicle. I have a buddy that has felt cutouts the sizes of all his ork vehicles. As far as the TO not specifying, I would corner them and ask them directly, because there is nothing worse than losing in a tourney due to a log break waiting for a judge to make a ruling and then running out of time.

Hmm I think some people will just place dice were the tank was.

I havent yet but I plan to make a few small creaters in the general shape of my rhinos and defilers that are light and easy to carry to show were they were and that there is now cover there.

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

As the rules only ask you to place a crater if you have one, if you don't have one you don't place one.

Just remove the vehicle and move on.

Follow the rules as written.

Although as a preference, I'd prefer to see Tournaments either specify in their rules packs that players should bring appropriately-sized craters for each of their vehicles, or provide a range of ready-made craters for player use during the event.

I did a quick tutorial on Age of Strife on some destroyed vehicle markers I made.

Have a look here http://www.ageofstrife.com/project-logs/vehicle-destroyed-explodes-markers-tutorial-t4211.html if interested.
