Hello all Dakka Dakka members ,

I have recently been looking at the imperial guard valkyrie set and was considering purchasing one for a slowly growing side army of imperial guard , however not having the Codex now due to it being ruined by my dog :/ i am unable to remember the difference between a Imperial guard Valkyrie and an Imperial guard Vendetta , could someone please explain this to me as i cannot get my hands on a codex quickly.

Look foward to hearing from you all ,

Thanks ~UnDeAd~

Vendetta is a gunship Valkyrie is a transport with light armaments.

Both use the same chassis, but the vendetta has a different weapon loadout.
Sly hobbyists would magnetize the weapons....

The Valk is completly doable from the plastic kit, a Vendetta would either need the forgeworld upgrade kit or some additional work and a few spare weapons.

Target locked,ready to fire

Thanks you Khargrim , but i was kind of asking about the different weapons that are used on either one and the difference in point values , thanks for the help.

Also thanks 1hadhq , i would be going for the lascannons from Forgeworld if i do opt for the Vendetta option , any ideas on the difference in point values ?

Once again thanks.

ah, im used to seeing forum rules about not listing weapon loadouts or points. not sure how it is here! sorry it wasnt much help lol! Valk has lascannon on nose, 2 HB in the side doors, i believe thats all,

The vendetta has its nose cannon and two underslung heavy cannons *(cant remembername) may have additional weapon loadout

PS, wont link points values due to probably getting warned over it!

Not quite.

Vendetta has Three twin-linked lascannons. It doesn't mention at ALL where they are mounted. I've seen twin nose guns, either side of cockpit, and even three on each wing (in the manner of jet engines - outermost are 1, middle are 2, inner are 3).
Many codices for this game don't mention HOW or WHERE the guns mount for a handful of vehicles.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
