Hi All,

I'm relatively new to Dakka Dakka and thought I'd share some of my older projects of the last couple of years and then use this as a blog of new work from then on. I play a little bit of 40k, am building at least one fantasy army (Chaos Warriors), but my main interest is DeathSquadsGame: It is a 40k based skirmish game that is being developed by a dedicated band of individuals. It shares some ideas from Mordheim and Necromunda, but has evolved a long way from that now. Check it out on the link: http://www.deathsquadsgame.com/forum.htm" target="_new" rel="nofollow">(http://www.deathsquadsgame.com/forum.htm the living rulebook is a free download and the guys are very friendly to newbies). Anyway here are a range of pics in no particular order...

Chaos Warriors - New Fantasy Army

A Scratchbuilt Warhound Titan

I love to receive constructive feedback (Isn't that how we get better?)

Future plans are... a small squad of chaos marines and normal marines for use in Death Squads (when the game is developed further). A unit of chaos cultists for the same purpose. Finsh a warhammer fantasy army and my blood angels and get distracted by 101 other projects along the way - finishing some and not others (+ some mordheim forces based around chaos marauders and the island of blood box set - when it comes out)

Cheers Laney

wohow, you been painting. and how! Nice work on all of them. That guy with the split eagle on his shoulder pads, is that an inquisitor?

He certainly is an inquisitor - he's mostly built from dark angels veteran parts - which are perfect iniquisitor bits. He is one of six inquisitors I have made/painted - I can't use them all but they are so characterful I never tired of painting them.

These pics are a potted summary of about a years work. I only got back into the hobby two years ago after a long separation - about twelve years (things had really moved on!).

I've made some progress on my Tzeentch Sorcerer. I'm not the best green/grey stuffer in the world - but this kind of project helps me to improve - any pointers on this would be useful. Paint will follow pretty soon. The intention is that he will be one of the leaders of a new chaos cultist death squad I am building (I want to build a truescale chaos marine for each of the chaos marks - next up is khorne world eater - poss. pre-heresy colours).

Looking awesome! What's that you've used for Captain Reismann's bionic foot?

Cheers. Reismann's bionic foot was a scratchbuild from tiny pieces of plasticard tube, sheet, plastic rod and the round ball is an eye from a chaos spawn all glued together. I revised the idea on Theseus Grey to use the end of necron gauss weapon and a necron arm (it was much quicker).

Ok a little bit of progress has been made on my sorcerer marines cloak. Plus I thought I'd share a few pics of some blood angels I've modelled in the last month or so (Nothing fancy - just two or three kitbashes).

The painted cloak... It wasn't quite the effect I was looking for
