Can't go wrong with a power fist in a assault squad. Combi-melt is cool but not as cool as a gaint fist to the face.

Even though I don't like to use power fists in my armies (they're more shooty oriented) I agree that it's the best option for this situation. If for some reason the two meltaguns don't kill whatever tank you're shooting at you can then charge and finish it off with the fist and krak grenades plus the fist gives you better killing power against troops and monstrous creatures. The combi-melta doesn't add any of that.

power fist. you can use all the time.
A combi melta won't help because you can only use the melta once, and if you shoot the bolter you can't assault.
Plus you get more hits against a vehicle in combat than with one melta shot.

Not sure if its the same rule here but power fist hits last so if the guys dead he isnt much use so i say combi melta.
