Hello everyone, I started in the early 00's building and painting scale armor tanks, I really enjoy it but I discovered WH40k several years ago and I feel it gives me more freedom in being more creative. I never got into the gaming aspect as of yet but I'm here to gain more info and hopefully meet cool folks as I start in this new hobby. I have a few models on the way, a metal venerable dreadnought that I've been trying to build up or should I say patch up (I wonder if you guys have had problems with the fit of this particular model) and a squad of veteran Dark Angels. =)

Hello welcome to Dakka Dakka , i'm sure your will find a lot of information on this site helping you with the gaming side of the hobby. I have just recently been trying to get into gaming myself after 8 years of painting and modelling warhammer 40k and the help i have recived is the best i have on any of these communities so far.

PS , i once tried a metal verenable dreadnought and also had problems with it , have you made sure that all of the flashing is cleaned of always try to dry fit peices before glueing them just to make sure that all flashing / mold is removed.

Thanks.

Welcome.

I never had the metal venerable dread, so can't help with that.

Welcome To Dakka!

I once had to help a friend build one of those Metal Dreds. They look nice, but they are a pain to build.

Thanks guys =)

@ ~UnDeAd~ - Yep, I do that. But it does have a lot of gaps, especially on the torso assembly. I'm now using putty to fill it up.

Yeah sounds like the best way foward way man , personally i just cannot stand GW metal models i always have problems with them its either the flashing or there are gaps and peices dont fit right. I tend to stick to the resin / plastic models.

Hello and welcome to DAKKA DAKKA

Attempts by Company Commanders to call down close-ranged artillery fire can result in disastrous casualties amongst the Imperial Guard. Whilst the loss of life is regrettable, the waste of ammunition is INTOLERABLE!
