My two friends plays Nids and Chaos and so far have not won a game against me and are beginning to lose heart! I don't want this so as much as it pains me to ask are there any bits of advice I can pass on to my friends against my ork boy orientated army?

Send some info about your armies. What do you usually field? What do they usually field?
One thing to note is that you are here asking for help for them. This means that you are using the forums/internet for tactical expertise and gaming experience and they probably are not. It is quite natural therefore that you will (rapidly) move ahead of them tactically and have a better grasp of the game mechanics and unit capabilities even if you started gaming together.

Heh sorry I didnt have much time, I normally field some kans, boyz, nobz, a battlewagon and Gaz.

The tyranid player has mainly genestealers, warriors, tyrant guards and a broodlord.

The daemon player has a soul grinder, some bloodletters, a skulltaker and some chaos space marines I let him use. Now i've been clearer any general advice? Thanks

What points level do you all usually game at? For Tyranids there is a pretty big disadvantage when playing at either LOW points levels (1000pts or less) or HIGH points levels (2000pts or more). The Tyranids sweet-spot for being able to field a versatile, balanced army that also isn't crippled with a few losses tends to be 1500-1850 points.

For the Chaos player, there shouldn't be a problem point for point at any level of play. My suggestions for THEM is to get on the forums for their various Armies (even DakkaDakka as well) and see what builds, strategies & advice they can learn from personally.

I'm not an expert on the good forums for Chaos but your Niddy buddy can get a lot of great info over at http://www.warpshadow.com or http://thetyranidhive.proboards.com

I hope that helps!

Nice! I didn't know about the Tyranid point balance, usually he only plays with around 750 points. I'll pass on the advice.

A lot of armies are like that, Orks are actually really powerfull at low points battles, namely because other armys can't put enough out to deal with them
