I'll be moving to Indiana Pennsylvania later this month and was wondering what the local game stores and clubs where like.

I'll be living close to the IUP campus if that matters.

I live in Blairsville Pa and there is nothing out here OR Indiana. Up in greensville there is the Vault, or in the opposite direction in Duncansville there is a shop(cannot remember the name) But i have driven a hour drive twice, and he was closed both times..in middle of week so don't understand how the man does business. The Vault has 40k night every tues night, and a few of my friends play there But the staff and owner are far from 40k friendly. They tell you right out 40k blows play warmachine. I have heard of a large gameing club in IUP but apparently it's tight nit. There is Liegions in Pitt. Huge store with massive inventory But have had bad taste from some employees and lot's of "know it alls" there. But the store is for sure worth a visit. In Indiana itself there is Whirlwind games and hobbies, but his 40k stock is dwindling down as he has no call for it and no tables to play, he is 90% normal models and supplies(no GW supplies). I know it sounds bad but yes, seems out here we are in a black whole for gaming.

Oh, i forgot about Snake eyes Gaming. They hold Tourneys that Toy Soldier host's (Norm is a great guy as well as the fellers in SEG) They post here on Dakka and if you wanted i could forward you their email. Hope this helps a bit on the layout of the area's gaming scene.

Welcome to the area! Best nights to get a game is Friday's at Legions in Pittsburgh or at Gatehouse in Altoona. It's a very rare Friday when a Snakeyes member isn't about. This weekend we'll actually be having a fun unofficial get together for a friend who's leaving the area actually to take a teaching job out of state. So feel free to swing by Altoona Friday between 5 -9pm, or pretty much all day Sat from 1ish till 9. Our normal tournament schedule can be found at http://snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com/ . Right now we have no major events until after Gamesday, though feel free to shoot down to Baltimore and look us up, we'll be running three tables this year. We have another Ligonier event planned for October 16th, but haven't confirmed what style it'll be (though based on the blog poll it'll be random doubles)
