Just a short one guys and sorry if this is the wrong place, im looking to put the Elysian Taros in a Cadian army ( modern seal theme) can this be done. Having read a couple of the IA books ive noticed that some units can be taken in a guard force ie dkok heavy mortars = elites slot.
Not asking for rules just if i can as they are too cool not too any info would be good.

Gathering the Informations.

Each IA list is intended to be fielded as its own entity.

To put it bluntly:
You can't field an Elysian force mixed in with a Cadian force, but provided your opponent agrees to it you can field them as two separate army lists.

Ok was hoping that it would be like one of the Dkok IA books that says at the start that a unit can be put on its own in a normal guard force, like the heavy mortars being in the elites slot of a standard guard force.

As the other thread mentiones, if your opponent agrees you could always have your Taros just count-as something. I'm thinking either a Chimera or maybe a Sentinel based on their armament...

What you Could do(to play as you want and not have the Wife kill you) is to field your Cadian Models as Elysian drop troops(call 'em Harkonni Warhawks*) and field them as "Count as" Elysians.

*Their scheme was Khaki and Black, tend to field Heavy bolters and Plasma guns

sub-note: I have always like the Warhawks and want to do either a count-as force for Elysians, or a Hakonni Air-Cav force.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Thats a better idea would save alot of cash but could people be a pain willing to play against an army made like that

See page 84 of IA8, under Fast Attack. It states that the Tauros and Tauros Venator Squadrons are FA choices for an IG or Drop Troops army. So, yes you can, it just requires opponent consent, same as any other FW rules.

The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.
