To say im unclear, a friend of mine runs a vendetta with 3 TL Lascannon, he claims he can use all of the weapons as one weapon system, but like i said ive been playing for a month in a half and this rule is unclear. Are they seperate or one system?

We've always played it as 3 seperate guns.

They are three separate sets of twin-linked lascannons. The way that the game handles compound weapons there would have to be a separate weapon profile called "3 twin-linked lascannons" in order for them all to be a single weapon.

Hes trying to cheat, so that he can fire all 3 after moving 12" im assuming.

All three are separate. There's no other way to interpret it.

Actually the profile does read 3 twin-linked lascannons. But that does not mean they are 1 weapon system. to be 1 system that comprised multi[ple weapons it would have to have some special name; then in the weapon description for that special named weapon list it as 3 twin-linked lascannons.

Case in point: hurricane bolters; which are 3 twin-linked Boltguns.

all that means that the 3 Twin-linked Lacannons are 3 seperate twin-linked lascannons.

OP: If your friend still tries to argue ask him if your Sponsons count as 1 weapon system too then.

Of course if you can't get him to see the light on it, make sure that the first time a "weapon destroyed" result comes up, you completely neuter his vendetta by destroying all three guns on his "weapon system".

Yeah, if he is trying to get to fire all 3 weapons after moving, just kill all 3 weapons with a weapon destroyed result.

The "seperate weapon profile" refers to the actual stats in the wargear section or on the summary page (104) rather than the entry on page 101.

As a fast vehicle it CAN fire all weapons if it moves less than 6"
