What formation are you planning to run those units of PG / WL / SM in? I'm not sure about elite high elf combat blocks in this edition... you're going first, but everything that survives is going to hit back and kill a LOT of your more fragile troops. You can buff them with lore of life, and hex your enemy with lore of shadow, but I'm not sure if you can count on that holding your line together.

I'd like to see some more mobility in the list somewhere, as another thing that would truly give this list problems would be a shooty list of any kind. You've got nothing to go after warmachines with in this list other than the 3 eagles, and have a very stationary force otherwise, even with elf movement.

So I'm not liking your chances with this list for 'Ard Boyz... I think WoC will be stronger in that setting. I'm not usually about fielding the strongest possible list, but for 'Ard Boyz, I think you need to up the ante a bit here!

can you find the points for tecllis instead of one of the arch mages? I mean with 3k points it jsut seems like a waste not to take him . He's just to good.

Exactly. He's too good, by FAR, for his points. However, in an 'Ard Boyz setting, he should almost be an automatic selection!

You may only have 25% of your points placed in special. Thats the first thing you need to fix. If I may ask, why no repeater bolt throwers? And break up those archers if you keep that many... two squads of 18, 2x9, wouldn't be hard to manage. I would definately ditch your current arch mages, Teclis is far superior, you would have points for another minimally equiped arch mage if you did that. Level 4, with maybe the staff of solidity (so you ignore the first miscast).

Thats my two coppers worth for now.

yeah no teclis for friendly games nules you want to be a jerk but most def for ard boys. Tec and Carradyn are great for hype competitive games. Nothing protects your units from magic like a guy that auto kills your wizard if you kill him!

@Sazzlefrats - You have a 50% max limit on Specials, not 25%.

@Thortek-

I'm gonna repeat what others have suggested and stress that you should take Teclis for 'Ard Boyz. While I would normally shy away from such a suggestion, you want to bring your 'A game' to 'Ard Boyz...and Teclis is about as 'A game' as High Elves can get. With the 175pts you've saved, you could get Korhil for extra killiness elsewhere in your army, or invest in a lvl2 for potential support magic.

BSB - Banner of the World Dragon is nice....but it only protects one unit (which won't be able to be buffed), and leaves your BSB (a critical part of any army now) defenseless. I would consider dropping the banner and giving him the Armor of Caledor and Guardian Phoenix and a Great Weapon to keep him alive.

Archers - I would take less archers in favor of more spears. Preferably, you'll want ~30 strong blocks of spears to be sure that you can take casualties and still be a credible threat on the field.

I kind of feel like the Banner of Sorcery is precarious to have with Swordmasters, but there's not many other locations where it could go. For good measure, try to fit in the Iron-curse Icon in the Swordmasters to give them a chance of surviving against artillery.
