Here's my latest GS'ed mini. In total, it's my 4th, but my first that came pieced up on sprues - my first three were the precast SM's from the assault on black reach set. I'm not sure that I'd consider him a chaplain, but he's got a few religious-y bits tacked on there. Hope you like it! C&C welcome and wanted.

Fixture of Dakka

On a boat, Trying not to die.

With a sword that sized, I'd say he's got to have some sort of relic blade. So, maybe Captain, CM, or other Sargent. Also, he makes me want to start sculpting. Please make him stop.

nice work on everything but the helmet and sword. the helmet looks a bit like a fly, and the sword is just too wide. unfortunately i cant do much better, I'm sure that you will hone your technique soon

The sword is too "wide" in terms of thickness, or actual depth (like from blade to back)? It did end up a bit thicker than I had hoped. Next time I won't use wire for armature because I couldn't sand down any more without exposing the wire.

I think your Marine is trying to compensate for something with a sword that large.

A valiant effort, but if you change the sword to something more practical and drill the barrel on the bolt pistol you should be pretty well off.

Misery. Missouri. Who can tell the difference.

You are much better at GS than I but the sword looks like it stepped out of a Final Fantasy game. All it is missing is a gun barrel.

That sword is huge and you don't need it.

LOL. I've taken the note that big swords aren't all that popular... Next time I'll scale it back. Anything other than that going on here that's above or below standard?

Thanks for the comments though!
