Today while doing a build day with my friends, I had an idea to convert a devilfish to a ork tank thingy. With no real idea on how to start I just randomly did some things.. My result..

Lol sorry.. If this is kind of spammish please move it to wherever it should go >< But yeah, it was just an idea I had, or at least a start to one, any idea how I would actually go about converting it? Its actually for my little brother, who will be buying the devilfish, as not to damage my friends or my own.

You're engines are on backwards. Just sayin.

Maybe you should do some work with making 'grot weapon ports'. Do a grot ball gunner under the nose, some grot gunners where your orks are mounted. lol

You'll need plenty of patch work on the engines and body to 'ork it up' and the open hatch on the top could use an ork pilot.

Well, those are my ideas. Good luck if you decided to do it.

You can search for Looted Devilfish to get some ideas. Alot of people put wheels on it but in the Ork codex it even says that some of the looted wagons are skimmers that the orks have managed not to crash so personally I like the idea of no wheels. I'm doing the same thing except mine will be a trukk since it will be fast anyway you could just do the same things for a looted wagon if you want just add on the big gun.

I'll take 2 deffkopta propellers and put them on the engines so it's like one of those helicopters that can turn into a plane. I'm going to cut out the section with the red window all jagged like and have an ork pilot sitting there and I'm gonna paint the front with the shark head you find on old planes and bombs. The back and side hatches will be removed and I'm going to have a boy with a big shoota standing in the back Avatar style, for the side hatches I'm going to use black orc shields as doors that cover half the opening so the boyz can still look out and shoot.

Put grots in turrets where the drones would be, slap some random armor slabs on through out the chasis and some battle damage like bullet holes. Maybe a big whole that looks like a bomb went off on the side then when you paint it put squig goo around the hole from the bomb squig that took out the vehicle. Add some spikey bits on the front and just a bunch of orky bits in general. you could also make some alternate ways of representing wargear so for instance I'm going to represent a grabben claw with two grot targeted grappleing hook guns on either side of the chasis

If you wanted to represent a trukk instead of a looted wagon with one you could get a tau missle gunship instead of a devilfish and replace each of the missles with rokkits from the stormboyz sprue. Have it represent how the vehicle is a fast vehicle

I'm calling mine a dakka fish.

Hmm ok. Ill do some searching around.

That idea with the big shoota in the back is a good idea, might use that ;P

I think I have a few ideas now, found a great bullet hole tutorial on Youtube so ill probably start the conversion once my brother buys the fish for it >< as I am not using my friend's or mine xD
