I have a problem. I want too many goodies. I can't fit them all in one list, or can I?

Waves:
Primary: Kairos, Bloodcrushers, Tzeentch Prince, Slaanesh Prince, Daemonettes, Screamers

Secondary: Herald, Blue Scribes, Flamers, Horrors, Plaguebearers, Tzeentch Prince

Danger:
- Frontloaded primary wave
- Low on scoring units (3 relatively weak units)
- High on Kill Points (12 KP’s)

Quality:
- Allround, mobile, flexible, sturdy

Alternatives:
- Switch Blue Scribes and 1 Bloodcrusher for Skulltaker on Juggernaught
- Tick off Blue Scribes alltogether and boost the Daemonettes to 12, get an additional Screamer and give the Slaanesh Prince IH (Might be better, but I like the idea of have Blue Scribes in this list - they feel like adding a lot of flexibility).

What are your thoughts? Can I pull it of, this many goodies in one list, or did I overdo it? ;-)

Daemonettes really only perform in large groups.

I'd drop the Blue scribes, 2 crushers and Daemonettes, maybe add some Bloodletters.

Running Skulltaker with the BCs might be overkill. He would however fit perfectly on a Jugg in a group of Bloodletters.

Drop Blue Scribes, Daemonettes, 2 Horrors and 2 Bloodcrushers = 328.

Add Skulltaker, 9 Bloodletters (one with rending) = 329

Total = 1699


I find that princes really scale well with the points you put into them. I play 1850 with my group of friends, and my DPs run around 250 a pop (I run 2 and a soul grinder), and ALWAYS earn their cost. That rending 'letter also helps if you need to assault a vehicle and your Skulltaker is dead. Daemons have a clear problem with mechanized lists, so adding more ability to pop a vehicle while still focusing on the strengths of your core units seems to work really well. I try to have all my units capable of popping a vehicle, even if it's got a mediocre chance, for us, every one counts.

Thanks for your reply Madruk. Yes I realised that Daemonettes would be waste in the way I suggested. I'll toss them :-) Bloodletters? I actually rate them the weakest of the troops so don't consider them easily. In my mind theyre almost as weak as the Daemonettes vs. shooting (same save, somewhat better toughness) but at least the Daemonettes have fleet...

Ive thought some more on the list and have concluded the list was too many different ideas, not enough coherency.

The Blue Scribes may be a bit iffy, but I like the idea of him adding a lot of flexibility. He can Boon, Pavane and Aura of Decay. All these abilities really add to the all-commers idea behind the list. Changing the last DP, 2 Crushers and the Screamers for 6 Fiends of Slaanesh is a good move Id say...

Any comments?

looks great, but shouls you not take bigger troop units and icons? are you going with this list to the grand tournament this year? should be funny

Hey mate :-) I had all but forgotten about this topic ;-)

The troops choices are a bit risky in this list. You're very right about that. The idea is that there is so much threatening the opponent that he won't have time to focus on the troops. Also they're in the secondary wave and can be placed conservatively. But I do admit its a weakness in this list.

Im sorry to say I wont be visiting the GT this year :-( This is in part because of a busy agenda in october and some personal responsabilities but also because I detest painting and my Daemon arent painted at all yet. Taking my Black Legion again would be possible, but I dont really enjoy playing that list anymore. Theres a good chance I'll be visiting next year...

A bunch of friends of mine are comming, know here as Nivoglibina, Judge Fear and Shrubs (and their wives). I did wipe the floor (hehehe - hope they're reading this) with some of their lists, so if they manage to place high, that of course does reflect on me! ;-)

Bloodcrushers are 40 points each...so how do 4 plus upgrades equal 240? It should be 160, and a chaos icon, 25--a instrument 5 and the other is 10 for a total of 40 points...should only be 200 points max for 4 bloodcrushers.

Just a typo... The original list had 5... Points add up to 1696 points.

oke, but do you know this was the last grand tournament in holland? they want to bring the throne of skulls...
