organ guns are not 250 points.

you need some magic defense, magic is the hotness in 8th. i normally run an anvil and a cheap lord at 2500.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!

I think you should probably get rid of the slayer and add the extra points to the Miners, or visa versa. Organ Guns are 120pts, not 250. Also, do you have any ideas of what runes you'll be using for your characters?

sorry about the organ gun, I don't really know what runes I'm using on my lords yet.

i would also bump the warriors to longbeards. i run a 50 block of beards in my 2250 and its pretty solid and the improved WS and STR is worth it alone.

@aja10000: Well, to be honest, I think it needs some work. You've spent a pretty huge amount of points on your characters, and have no magic defense to show for it. Some specifics:

- I think the second lord really drops off in utility- you've already got the leadership 10 bubble. Take him out.

- The only thing that hits hard in combat is your first lord, and that is dependent on what gear you give him. Thus, no real reason to advance, so points on Strollaz and Stromni are probably best spent elsewhere

- A runesmith with a spellbreaker or two would not be a bad idea

- Standards aren't the same liability they were in 7th, but don't really contribute a lot to your shooting units or a 10 strong slayer unit. Points better spent elsewhere.

- Cannon doesn't gain a whole bunch from the rune of reloading. Consider an engineer instead- gives the thing an extra wound, keeps you from blowing up if you get that super unlucky/annoying misfire, and improves your grapeshot.

- Not sure on the miners. They're definitely a lot stronger with the anvil. In this list, they're probably war machine hunters, so you can get away with not having full command, and maybe even fewer models. As I say, not sure though.

- As has been pointed out, you could get 2 organ guns for the price you've paid, with points left over.

I think the main thing is to decide what you're going for. Balance? Shooting? Combat? Maybe you have a strong background reason for stuff here? It's kind of scattered right now, but I think a little focus would help you tighten things up.

Even for a friendly list that seems way low on dakka.
Since the second lord is not that useful, you could get one more canon and one catapult at least.

i think the grudge thrower really comes into its own in 8th. in my 2250-2500 point games i only run 2 throwers and an anvil for warmachines.

@studderingdave: What kit do you give the throwers? I've been pretty impressed with them too.

I personaly run my grudge thrower (The Hammer of Irreparable Damage) with a rune of Accuracy, penetrating and an engineer.
