Ok so yesterday i posted on wether orks were underpowered or if i just neede to learn how to waaagh better. The answer came back soundly that its the feirceness of my waaaagh and not the ork codex that needed fixin. So its back to the drawing board. At my store the two armies I depise the absolute most are a Nurgle list and a Space Wolf list.
-The Nurgle list has Typhus and terminators with the increae in toughness, feel no pain for everyone including big T, and some kind of grenade that gets rid of all bonus attacks due to charging. Also Typhus rerolls all hits and wounds, plus a force weapon which he uses to insta-kill Ghaz or any other HQ choices.
-The Space Wolf list has 2 Land raiders and a insane CC squad. Im pretty sure he said it has a wolf priest, 16 little guys and a named character. The big thing is he rolls a shoe box of dice wether he charges me or I try to charge him. He always has a higher inititive leaving me with nearly no boyz to hit back with.
Both of these armies have devoured 30 man slugga and shoota squads with little to no effort.
I'd dearly love to find my own Orky cheese and put the fear of green back into these two players. I feel as the insanely low inititve(even with furious charge, and real lack of high str low ap weaponry is holding me back.
Anyway since this is a friendly game store we pretty much can proxy anything we want and I have enough models to make anything my evil mind can think of.
Finnally we generally play 2k points and anhillation.

GHAZ CANNOT BE INSTADEATHED! Its in the rules of the codex.

I would suggest you go with regular nobz (no bikers) and also try Ghaz with them.
My nob squad costs 355 point for 7 nobz.

I run everything (except for grotz and lootaz) in battlewagons

Burnas are either a hit or miss. Lootaz are hit or annilate.

I would suggest that you go for 3 mobz slugga boyz of 20 with 1 nob w/ power klaw and bosspole (=160 points)

battlewagonz go for this: deff rolla, armor plates, grot riggers, big shoota (130 points)

This is the list I do at 2000:

Ghazghkull Thraka = 225

Big Mek w/ Kustom Force Field = 85

Elites

6 Lootaz = 90

6 Lootaz = 90

6 Lootaz = 90

Troops

1 Painboy w/ 'Eavy Armor, Cybork Body
6 Nobz w/ 3 Power Klawz, 'Eavy Armor, Cybork Bodiez, Waaagh! Banner, 2 Big Choppaz, Kombi Shoota-Skorcha, Bosspole = 355
1 Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Armor Platez, Grot Riggaz, Big Shoota = 130

1 Nob w/ Power Klaw, Bosspole
19 Boyz = 160

1 Nob w/ Power Klaw, Bosspole
19 Boyz = 160

1 Nob w/ Power Klaw, Bosspole
19 Boyz = 160

1 Runtherd
15 Gretchin = 55

Heavy Support

1 Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Armor Platez, Grot Riggaz, Big Shoota = 130

1 Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Armor Platez, Grot Riggaz, Big Shoota = 130

1 Battlewagon w/ Deff Rolla, Armor Platez, Grot Riggaz, Big Shoota = 130

Total: 1990

This list is terrifingly effective. Though I can understand that my nob squad is a little decked out it is worth it.

Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are dangerous.
Anything you do can get you shot. Including doing nothing.
