It looks highly likely that I will be moving to the bay area in the next few months for work and I was hoping for some recommendations on some good gaming stores in the area. I'll be living in Antioch so something close by would be ideal, although I am willing to drive for a good store.

Thanks!

Me too, actually. I'll probably end up in Mountain View. Suggestions?

@Reecius: I'm not familiar with the Antioch area, which is about an hour and a half north of where I roam. Looking at the GW store finder, though, you've got GW Empire and Alamo close by. I've heard Alamo is sort of quiet. Theres also Gamers Guild right in Antioch, but I've never heard anything about it.

@Power Cosmic: From Mountain View you are close (no more than a half hour drive) to three. There's Legends Gaming in the Valero mall in Cupertino. I can't comment on the community there, as I've never been.

There's Game Kastle, in downtown San Jose. Never been, but that's where a lot of the more TFG and very competitive players game.

Finally, there's the GW in Oakridge Mall, also in San Jose. This is where I like to go. Staff is very friendly, knows a lot, and isn't nearly as pushy as the Redshirt reputation suggests. The staff are personal friends of a lot of the veterans and regulars, and go to great lengths to listen to us. On top of that, it's in a really nice, busy mall. Groups of gamers heading to the food court together is common, and so are after-closing movies. Really a great place to hang out and make some friends.

Feel free to PM me any other questions. Let's not hijack Reecius' thread any further.
