The goblins I could part out if the prices are right. The lizardmen either go as a whole or end up on ebay. They will under no circumstances be parted out.

You have to realize that with the exception of the terradons and the slann, the rest of the army is painted. If I start parting it out I'll end up with random units that will never sell and that I don't need.

Look at it from this point of view: Someone who is going to be buying a Whole, Brand new army, is obviously someone who hasn't had that army before or at least doesn't anymore. So a great deal of the players looking to buy whole armies are going to be beginners who aren't going to be willing to pay top dollar for something that isn't right out of the box, in fact if they go to the second hand market it's going to be to save money. Now some people will be looking for well painted models but they will mostly be looking for individual units/characters instead of whole armies. Very few people are going to be in the market to buy a whole army at top dollar just so they dont have to paint. Most people prefer to paint it themselves.

so if you want top dollar you really want to part them out, or they have to be masterclass painted and even for that you have to be willing to sit on them for a while. I mean 350 is what I sold my tau army for and that took a while for

2 Tanks
4 Transport tanks
9 Battlesuits (40mm round base models)
20 something basic firewarriors
15 Kroot warriors
5 Pathfinders
Metric ton of drones.

Take me for instance I'm looking to get some razordons but I can't exactly afford the 50 something bucks to get 2 brand new ones so I'm looking it up on forums and Ebay. Wayland has some good offers but I'm going to keep looking around so I don't have to pay shipping from england and wait two years to get it.

The razordons are the only thing I broke down and bought from GW. Everything else was ebay or LGS.

And $350 isn't top dollar for $580 worth of models. that's 40% off of retail price which is a better deal than most anything on ebay.
