How does dakka feel about vehicles battling it out in the underhive?

When you say vehicles you mean stuff like cars? That could work but anything like a tank would be too tough for the average ganger to take down. Although lightly armoured vehicles could work.

Scrapped up vehicles- basically like ork warbuggies, where they are open-topped,sheet metal riveted for support, the works.Tanks? Not what I had in mind.

Speak of the devil-About 2 hours ago I watched Mad Max. That would be pretty cool to see ork warbuggy-esque vehicles.

How about even motorcycles? I can imagine an all motorcycled gang of Orlocks, after all they were based off jean claude van damme street fighters, and outlaw bikers..

A gang name would be ''the two wheeled knights'' and so on.

Vehicles sound fun, but make it so the Crew can bail out when it's taken down or can be targetted if they logically can, such as having only a barely armoured glass window or a guy using a top mounted gun. in Necromunda there's no reason NOT to over complicate things

That's is basically what GorkaMorka is. The rules there would be a reasonable starting point for adding similar vehicles into a Necromunda game.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

gorkamorka was "vehicle heavy" and the rules could work quite well. However there used to be PDF on vehicles for necromunda, i seem to recall it being something about the ash wastes. I doubt its still on the GW site as most of the necro PDF's were taken down but there might be some copies floating around somewhere if you can fine them.

I can see Mad Max styled vehicles working with the very 'scrappy' feel of the hive itself, although I have no idea whatsoever whether the current vehicle rules, if any would suit the vehicles themselves. Awesome movie though

I mean, one of the Primarchs is a dog, The Emperor doesn't have high standards.

I liked this game idea when i first played it back in the nineties, when it was called Gorka Morka...

Also if your simply looking for some mad Max still violence and vehicular mayhem then check out Warlands by Aberrant games:
http://www.aberrantgames.com/warlands.html

The rule book is a pdf that can be purchased for download, and while they make some cool models for it, the scale of the game is such that any sort of matchbox/hotwheels scale cars can be converted into vehicles for it for you creative types.

I played it a few times, and it is rather fun and cheap to get into...
