This trial program allows you to download the software, build army lists, level and spec units, as well as print out paper proxy models for games.

So I've noticed quite a few views. Has anyone actually created an account and given it a shot?

I'm not a fan of the zone system. It might make the software easier, but the increased granularity is a step away from my "ideal wargame".

I can respect that viewpoint. Thers is good and bad in both movement systems. Hopefully, the zone based movement is not enough to deter you from trying a game completely for free.

Personally - I found the need to precisely place each model a bit tedious, more like a chore than a game. So I like zone based movement a bit more. EDIT - for army scale games

Oh yeah - anyone trying the game should note that it is very intuitive and easy to play without KNOWING the rules. Those of you who need tactics / stats / percentages etc. Please read the rules section of the wiki before playing

Cool. Shouldn't be too hard. Who doesn't want to try a game for free?

I wouldn't. Honestly, has nothing to do with any pluses or minuses in the game itself. I just have too many game systems I am invested in as it is. 2 Hordesmachine armies, 6 40k armies, 4 WHFB armies, 2 FOW armies ,6 MechWarrior factions, Epic Armageddeon. Damn near a different army a day for a month if I so choose, and that isnt including discrete builds for each army I could make out of my collections for each. Count that and it would be a army a day for 2 months or there bouts. Plenty of players for most of them.

I have to admit, that makes me pretty much out of the target demographic for any new game that comes out, lol! But good luck drumming up some competition and support!

I would, but previous Ex Illis threads have left me with a very rotten taste about the game as a whole, and any interest for it has been exstinguished.

However, thanks for offering at least.

I have 2000 points of , called the Crimson Leaves.

Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control. Core has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield, controls history. Core has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war... becomes routine.
