Which of the samurai ranges most compliment the 28 heroic scale used by GW.

I am only really aware of West Wind and the Perry's ranges, if you know of others, let me know!

Hi MeanGreenStompa,

Have you seen The Assault Group samurai? Big (and expensive) miniatures, very good quality but range is a little small.

Hope this helps

Dixon's Miniatures make a Samurai range.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Seriously?

Legend of the Five Rings. hands down. Same scale, and converts easily.

a bunch of great monsters and other cool stuff, too.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Oh, I had some Legend of the Five Rings sets, they were beautiful. If you can get the Clan Cavalry sets, the horses are real nice size! But they are discontinued aren't they? Bidding was kind of fierce on Ebay, especially for those gorgeous Unicorn Maiden cavalry.

L5R and the "Clan Wars" sets (I'm not sure by whom).

It's quite fascinating how many miniature ranges pop up and die in the space of 20 years. Most of them even exhibit some kind of scale continuity within their range, too.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Kingsford do some nice ones too...

Similar to Perrys in size.

If you want to match with GW plastics then The Assault Group followed by Westwind are your best bet.

If you want the best looking figures then go with Perrys and Kingsford, though they are slimmer, and slightly shorter than current GW figures. Think of the difference between LOTR and WFB figures and you will know what I mean.
