Okay, I've got a game against a Necron player this afternoon, and I just want to see if anyone can give me a hand as I haven't actually fought (is that the right word? I think it is) a Necron army before. I know people say that they're rubbish but this guys quite good, the most models I've ever seen him lose in a game is 15. I will be feilding ( and this list is none negotiable, as it's all that I have currently assembled): Typhus, 4 Terminators (Heavy flamer, Combi-melta, one power fist), Land raider, 7 Plague marines (Champ with power weapon, 1 plasma gun), 10 Plague marines (Champ with P-fist, 1 flamer, 1 meltagun). He will be bringing some combination of (though possibly not everything listed here): 1 lord on foot with res orb, 1 Destroyer lord (both with warscythe), 36-odd warriors, 3 Destroyers, 5 scarab swarms, 5 flayed ones, and of course a monolith. All I really know about fighting them is kill the warriors to make them phase out, but is there anything else I should bare in mind?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: My spelling and grammer in this post was quite, quite atrocius, and for that I am sorry.

- The single 3 man destroyer group is a good target for some high str ranged weapons. They can be dangerous, but if you can drop all three in a single turn they won't get WBB rolls since there are no other units of destroyers on the board, if he brings another group, it could get a bit tougher.
- The only models that are really decent for combat that he has are the two lords (depending on what other wargear they have) and maybe the flayed ones if they have a lord escort. Not really knowing a Chaos army well, it's had to say what you have available, but if you get into combat with the flayed ones, try to do so with either fearless units, or units with high Ld to negate Terrifying Visage.
- Find out what his phase out number and make a plan to get him down below that.
- Do your best to negate his armor saves/WBB rolls as much as possible when you are attacking him. If you can't at least negate one of those two rolls against the unit you are going after, don't expect the unit to go down/stay down.

++ Heed my words for I am the Herald and we are the footsteps of doom. Interlopers, do we name you. Defilers of our
sacred earth. We have awoken to your primative species and will not tolerate your presence. Ours is the way of logic,
of cold hard reason: your irrationality, your human disease has no place in the necrontyr. Flesh is weak.
Surrender to the machine incarnate. Surrender and die.
