Kill Teams deployment:

The player that won the roll-off deploys first. He must deploy all of his army in his deploymnet area...

So does that mean:

1) Infilitrate is not allowed?
2) If Infilitrate is allowed, you can only place your units in your deployment area?

Infiltrators have a specific rule that alters that deployment requirement.

Ok so yes Infiltrate can happen so I can see #1 being YES IT IS ALLOWED, but where can you can you infilitrate.

Because right now, it looks like you can only Infiltrate in your deployment area.

Kill Team is not very well written and doesn't take into account simple things like Infiltrators. As such, you are going to have to compensate for GW's toddler level writing by making stuff up.

This is covered in the Infiltrate USR on page 75 of the rulebook.

pg 75 BRB:

Units with this special rule are deployed last, after all other units (friends and foe) have been deployed. .....

Infiltrators may be set up anywhere on the table....

Kill Teams deployment:

I agree with Gwar's comment that the Kill Team rules are broken because per both of those rules: Yes you may infiltrate, however you may only Infiltrate in your deployment area. Looks like a good old fashion MAY vs MUST argument.

Insaniak if you read something differently, please let me know more detail thant just a page number in BRB, because I'm just not seeing it.

A special rule that applies to certain units over-rides general game rules. That's what special rules are for.

The Kill Team deployment rules are not really any different from those for the standard missions in the rulebook. Your army is required to set up in your deployment zone. Units with special deployment rules are allowed to ignore that requirement and set up as per their own specific rules.

All units is less specific than units with Infiltrate.

Infiltrate special rule is the more specific rule, so wins out.

Use the original Kill Team rules instead of the crappy dumbed down stuff in the battle missions.

Well thank you all.

Infiltration still works in Kill Teams, so it's not as broken as I thought.
