Freezing does make it MORE brittle.
Superglue bonds are brittle by their nature (good strength along one axis, poor strength v torque).
When they cure, they trap water molecules inside the bond. Freezing makes these molecules expand, further weakening them.
Overnight in a ziploc bag in the freezer should weaken them sufficiently - and gently twist to remove them, don't try to pull them off.
