So I finally convinced a few of my buddies to play 40k, we built our own table and such but now we have a problem! There are three of us for our regular game day instead of two. So my question is, are there any missions made specifically for 3 separate players/armies? Sadly we all have the AoBR rule books so no extra fluff, or missions =/. Any links would be great! ( i used to have a link to a recent adepticon rules/gametypes packet but i cant find it)
thanks in advance!

It's a normal game, except you can shoot into assaults you aren't part of. On a 4+, you shoot at the target, on a 1-3, you hit the wrong opponent. Other than that, play on!

There is one in the full starter book for three players on page 272. I sort of doubt reproducing an entire page from the book is allowed though so tough luck there. There were extra rules for objectives, deployment, assulting, player turn sequence, and shooting into combat. Pop into a store or borrow a copy from someone. Won't take more then 10 minutes to know how to run it by heart.

Yeah 3 players is a bit rough really the best thing to do is just try and get a 4th person in there.
A 3 person mission can be tough as alot of the time it turns into 2 vs 1 then whats left over fight it out. If someone has a larger army then the other 2 an actual 2 vs 1 works.

Whenever we had that situation we'd just have 2 guys on one team and one guy on the other, with even points per side. So one guy with 1500 points versus two guys with 750 point armies.

Thanks a ton, yeah ill have to take a trip to my FLGS and check out the store's rulebook and write down the extra rules. We tried the 2v1 but it does get kind of boring, Free for all seems it would add some interesting situations.
Also i found the link to the game types list, This is probably common knowledge but i thought I would throw it out in case.

I played a three player game and it was not the best really... If you attack you will take losses and then get swamped by the third player. It ended up with the person who hung back and did nothing for the first couple of turns winning. I would rather do a 2 on 1 team battle, or have a 1 on 1 objective game, with the third player against both just messing up the board for fun.

If you do do 2v1, which I highly recommend over 1v1v1, make sure the 2 share one FOC. Otherwise, things get pretty unbalanced fairly quickly.

FFA really dont work in general. I had a ( I think) Eldar, chaos and ork game, ( i was the 4th player, spess murheens)
And the orks had this massive horde that I was closest to, while the chaos and eldar were closer to each other than anyone else. I was well equip to deal with the ork hoard, but the eldar and chaos decided THEY wanted to deal with them too! So the eldar and chaos foot slogged across the board towards the orks who had totally diminished (and killed 5 marines :( ) and attacked them instead of each other (they were about 12' away from each other)
Terrible play on their parts.

Our group plays multiple player missions - one rule we found somewhere (sorry, can't remember the source) was to keep track of your KPs per enemy. At the end of the game your score is the lowest amount - it encourages everyone to spread the fighting around.
