Quick question about this (still getting to grips with my new army!), just want to clarify i've understood the rule:

Q1) Does this mean that my Seekers/Daemonettes deny charging enemies their bonus attack?

Q2) I count as having Frag grenades when i assault, therefore always striking on inititive?

Q3) Despite saying I count as having both offensive and defensive grenades, I can NEVER claim this bonus vs vehicles?

1) If they count as defensive grenades then they function as defensive grenades do in the BRB.

2) They count as assault grenades, so yes

3) Well, yes - it mens you dont get any help hitting vehicles (e.g. you dont have a frag grenades 4+D6)

Yes and yes, subject to the usual grenade rules on p36 of the BRB.

You don't get a strength bonus against vehicles- you can assault dreadnaughts through cover and strike at initiative, but your armour penetration value would be Strength+d6 rather than the usual 4+d6 for defensive/assault grenades.

It's a really odd note too - there isn't a model that has access to Aura of Acquiescence that would be more effective with Frag Grenades than their regular attacks. Were the rules different enough in 4th edition that multiple rending S3 attacks weren't as good as a single S4 attack?

Nope, in 4th ed they were better as rending was D6 to armour penetration.

It seems more like a "fluff" based rule - the aura really shouldnt affect vehicles armour!

@Nosferatu - Yeah that's a sensible way of approaching it - it's supposed to be some sort of psychological effect isnt it? So "fluff-wise" it wouldn't have an effect on the vehichle.
