I found it slightly amusing that the one stratagem depicted using piles of skulls to represent "horror" markers or similar...

Ok, I'm pretty sure any citizen of the Grimdark has seen enough skull piles in it's lifetime (thanks to GW) that it would yawn at any such display. Heck most Imperial buildings have more skulls on them then those little piles of skulls...
