I had so much fun putting together the armored units I cant leave them aside. Am looking for tweeks but am really hesitant to pull the vehicles.

Gaz goes in a Battlewagon
Big Mek goes in the other Battlewagon

The Battlewagons and Warbuggies form up and screen the Kans. First and second turn they all benefit from the KFF.
All the Kans might not be within the KFF but the wagons and buggies will be and these will be screening the Kans.

The Kans screen the Boyz.

The Buggies and Wagons are on AT detail - the buggies going after artillery and the Wagons (and Nobz inside) go after transports.

I put Gaz in the list over another KFF Big Mek for variety's sake and to ensure I get a 6inch Waaaagh when its time.

The Nob units arent meant to be Super units - they're there for assaulting rear armor of transports and to get the DeffRollas into the list.

I hope to test this puppy out this weekend - still need to paint up 16 Boyz, GAZ and all the armor.

I think I can get it done if I stick to dry brushing the vehicles with minimal detail work for now maybe paint big checks on the sides of the flatbed areas at a minimum.

Nice pics but I don't like how the army is, half fast while the other half slow. The Big Mek will be ahead so those Kanz will lose KFF protection, Kanz aren't tough take them out and bye-bye Boyz.

With Orks you should pick a theme and go for it. You will have half your army hit the enemy and then the other half, deal with two Battlewagons and the Buggies first then the rest, and two Wagons aren't hard to deal with :(

I appreciate the feedback - I may change it, adding in Deff Coptas and Lootas and dropping the Wagons and Buggies.

Buggies and DeffCoptas - I like the buggies more because of the leadership thing and they benefit from the KFF without having to zip around if my opponent makes me go second.

Wagons and Lootas - this is the most contentious swap. Lootas are SA-weet! I dont like their leadership and that Ill be leaving them behind. And more often than not - Ill be screening their shots anyways. The wagons have the same problem but in reverse. I wont be leaving them behind instead Ill be chasing them. I like that better.

Gaz is in the list to help mitigate the accordian effect with a 6 inch WAAAGH! At the end of turn 2 I should be charging - turn 3 definitely.

Turn one the wagon moves 12, the kans move 6 and run 1 to 6 inches. Still within the KFF Turn 2 it gets tricky, Ill move the Kans 6 - at a minimum Ive moved them 13inches - max 18 inches, the wagon has moved 12. I can move the wagons somewhere between 6 and 12 inches and still have the Kans under the KFF. Lets say I move them 6 for a total of 18inches of movement. If you count the 6 to 12 inches I deployed onto the table - the wagons are about 30inches into the board. The Kans are about 26 inches into the board assuming I rolled a one for both run moves. The boys are about the same (some of them may have to spill around the edges of the Kans due to run moves. For the Boyz - Ill assume a roll of a one first turn and a full 6 inch move on the second due to Gaz's WAAAGH!

12 inch deployment plus 6 move plus 1 run plus 6 move plus 6 WAAAGH plus 6 charge. 37 inch minimum 42 maximim threat range turn two walking. This leaves 6 to 11 inches - plenty of room if the opponent backs into his table edge. If he does - great, less options for them.

The Wagons deploy 12 move 12 move 6. Nobz and Gaz dismount 2 inches WAAAGH for 6 then charge for 6 - 44 inches total turn 2 with only going 6 inches turn 2 in the movement phase.

The hard part will be not shooting with the Kans the fist two turns - the buggies will plaze away the first two turns.

For a coordinated impact into his lines on turn two - Id have a threat range of about 39 inches for my table edge leaving him in 8 to 9 inches of his DZ. Less considering the wagons will be used to hit those hard to reach places because of the additional movement they offer.

There's cons and pros to Warbuggies vs Kopters. Kopters don't need terrain tests, can alpha strike and assault. But they take morale tests. Warbuggies are cheaper but pretty weak, a single shot can take it out, while that single shot at a Kopter means no anti tank at other units.

You won't be screening Lootas shots; they should be up high - do you play on a football pitch? lol.

Ghaz is a benefit for a foot list. Though I didn't actually comment on that

Doing what you said about Wagons is keeping the Wagons back and not moving them up front to get the Boyz into range, you're slowing your force down to allow for the Kanz. Why not ditch the Wagons and keep the force at the same movement?

Btw you cannot get out and move out the Wagon, best you can do is move 12" disembark 2" run 6" and assault 6" which gives 26" assault move.

That run move you discribe getting out of the wagon is what I had written.

The discrepancy isnt much - 2 inch minimum and 7 inches maximum. I cant assault the same enemy unit with EVERYTHING so getting that extra movement from the wagons is a good thing actually. Gives me more room to deploy. I only keep the wagons back IF I get bad run moves from the Kans AND it isnt likely I get into CC on turn 2.

I will miss the alpha strike potential of Koptas and switching the buggies over to Koptas is easy enough. I just like the conversions so much its hard to let go. Plus - I can use the buggies to screen Kans and they can be shooting TL Rokkits while doing it

Lootas tip the scale for me in terms of consistency - I have Gaz in there just for that reason actually.

Like I said your'e holding faster units back to protect slow ones; that's not ideal.

I'd drop the Wagons get Lootas and probably go with single Deffkopters and use them as suicide units. Get yourself some more Boyz on foot then too. The below are partial example lists but both came from this article on my blog: http://www.imperiusdominatus.com/2010/08/tactica-ork-boy.html

I think either of those would be better suited for you based on what you've got currently.

I like that second list alot - I think having S10 CCW's is key.

I hear yah about holding things back and it not being ideal. In theory hammer thats dead on. Im a fan of theory hammer and spend lots of time in it. I struggled with including the wagons. In the end it was precisely their movement that I liked best.

If I dropped the Buggies and added 2 Deffcoptas - nets me 70 points. I could pull 5 points easy enough and add a unit of 5 Lootas. This adds an additional long range harrassment unit to the original list - which Ill screen with the Grots.

I could cut both units of Nobs down to bare essentials - 3 Nobs and Big Choppa for assaulting rear armor and add 20 more Boyz with a PK Nob and bosspole.

You don't need Nobz if on foot btw. They belong in transports and you don't take transports with a foot list.

Thanks for the comps

I wasnt clear - I wouldnt drop the wagons, just reduce the number and do-dads on the Nobs down to bare essentials. THey would keep their ride.
