Hey all!
So, looking at making a face-beating foot IG list with the following rules; (read: restrictions)
Must have one Troop choice
0-1 HQ
No 2+ saves/3+ invuls/3+ wounds
No armor greater than 33 (add front/side/rear)
No ordnance weapons
No special characters

So, with that in mind I'm thinking...

IG Platoon-255
PCS w/ Melta, Autocannon, Commissar w/ power wep
Infantry Squad w/ Melta, Autocannon, Sarge w/ power wep
Infantry Squad w/ Melta, Autocannon, Sarge w/ power wep

IG Platoon-245
PCS w/ Melta, Autocannon, Commissar w/ power wep
Infantry Squad w/ Melta, Mortar, Sarge w/ power wep
Infantry Squad w/ Melta, Mortar, Sarge w/ power wep

Totals up to 500 exactly
So... what are your thoughts? Good, bad, how would you improve it?

First I would out the commisars in the infantry squads instead of command squads, 2 stubborn power blobs will be rather tough in 500p.

Secondly, I think that you got a little overboard with the melta guns, maybe drop a few for some more diverse special weapons.

If I use -><- I'm not mocking you, it's a reflex from using the " silly" icon on every other forum.
However, if I use this -><- I might just mock you.

Commissars aren't as vital at this point level. Maybe just take 1. I think you'd be more efficient with everything combined in 1 platoon. Suggestion:

PCS, autocannon, 2 flamers - 50

3 Infantry squads, meltaguns, sergeant power weapons, 1 commissar w/power weapon - 255

2 infantry squads - GL/AC - 130

Mortar HWS - 60

That's 495, you've got more specialised units, one combat blob and the rest are in fire support. Where you put which weapons isn't really that big a deal, but I do think you need one aggressive blob and one shooty objective holding blob, and then 1-2 small units to back them up.

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Corregidor 700 pts
Acontecimento 400 pts

Thanks, I like it! Gives me 3 autocannons for the little AT I'll need and some grenade launchers, flamers and mortars for anti infantry.
