This is the start of my DIY Chapter of Chaos Space marines, The Shadow Reapers. I have not created any type of a background other than I'm thinking some type of elite warband that serves Abaddon.

It is mostly and undivided force with (1) of each of the cult squads.

I am a novice painter and looking for good table top quality only. I have no greenstuff skills or sculpting skills of any kind. I am also not the greatest in the conversion area either.

That being said, i would like to receive C&C on my work, I want to improve because I love this game, but please be kind as I already know that I am not very good.

so I will start with pics (a lot more to follow soon)

1st up Lucius painted in my DIY Noisemarine Colors

Next is my Kharne "count as". I am not real fond of the Kharne model so i made this one.

A couple of Oblits that I made from the Dark Angel Termi legs (I used the Dark Angel Bodys as Plague Marines) and misc bits. I do not like the oblit models and the whole mutated thing (don't like the price either) so I made these. My friends like them, but they are bias so I'm curious what the Dakka Community thinks.

The Obliterators' weapons look excellent, but the torsos could use some bulking up, as they look a bit weedy in comparison to their weapons.

if you could put like some kinda giant back pack, then tthat would make the modle look a little less.... arm heavy? like the weapons look a little disproportional.....like a small section of PVC pipe that you could paint radioactive symbols on or something...

How would you suggest bulking them up, Armour plates, greenstuff, or some other method? In my fluff they will be some kind of Mechanicus or "super Termis" that just use "clamp on" style weapons whose controls are wired to there body's (or something like that).

Haha those Obliterators are a great take on heavy support. I have to agree with Valk. If I were you I'd check out some true-scale threads to see how to go about making your torso's scale more in keeping with the rest of the model.

Other than that a very promising start.

No trees were hurt in the making of this sig, however many electrons were disturbed.

Dude I love your Kharn The Betrayer Conversion its awesome!!!

and your on the right track with the oblits, you just need 2 bulk out the bodies abit or something

you got the right idea for the painting, but a few ink washes here n there just 2 add some depth 2 the models would finish them off for table top quite nicely
but so far mate not a half bad bunch of chaos marines
