Well, may as well have a main thread on this game instead of re-making a new one for every tidbit.

So, something to start off... how do you think they will approach raiding? Most MMO's have some form of raids, so how do you expect they will do this? (or will they do something completely different?)

Also, will it be a faction per race? (or imperium and the rest) or some more combinations?

Id imagine itll be Imperium, and then everyone else.

As far as raids, Ill guess they will be rather similar to every other MMO out there. But with guns!

I think it's a little to early to be making suppositions about mass server combat mechanics considering we haven't really seen anything that even suggests they've finished working on such a system at all.

I'm guessing the raiding system will be much more terrain interactive.

As, most ranged classes will need to hide behind cover when reloading, blah blah blah.

I doubt they will put THAT much emphasis on raiding. I'm thinking most of the gear will be from major RVR(PVP) exploits and the like.

GamesCom is coming up and unless something has changed we should be getting more information about the game soon.

I'm still hoping that we can visit Terra though it seems unlikely given the websites description of the game.

I have been looking into Dark Mellenium for hours and this what i have gathered as of yet listening to tons of interviews and blogs.
So far what I have gathered is there will be Space Marines, Inquisition/Guard, Orks, Chaos, and one of the devolopers accidently revealed that Eldar were going to also be playable. I'm sure they will release tau, necrons, and other races with expansion packs, there ganna wanna make as big of a profit as possible.
As for as the style goes, all the producers would only say that it would have the basic propertiers of an MMO, (raids, guilds, tanks, etc.) but will also provide a very unique and new feel.
Hope this enlightened you guys a bit, and I hope you guys are as stoked as I am

TBH i think they might make it in the first game the only playable race will be space marines and the classes will be different chapters, Then in expansions new races added?

The "classes" of the "race" are Space Marines (appear to be Templars), IG (Cadians) and Mechanicus.

The speculation now begins on the other "races"... Chaos is in, as seen in this and the other trailer, and the "classes" seem to be Berserkers, Cultists and... maybe Daemons?
Orks are in, and will probably have something CC, something shooty and Mekboys (I hope!).

Maybe demons will be some type of class upgrade or something. I know Im bias, and completely HATE demons in 40k, so Im hoping you cant just be a nurgling or some such nonsense. That would annoy me big time.

Im hooked on WoW right now, but I know thats only to pass time until this badboy drops. I SO cant wait to play this game. I just hope (and most likely will go past) the current launch is the real launch date. That will give me plenty of time to upgrade my PC. Im sure Im just going to build one and keep this one as a secondary PC for other stuff. But yea, totally stoaked

Can you link to those previews?

Everything I've read so far indicates that the Templars will represent the only playable chapter of Space Marines at launch.
With members of other chapters appearing as quest givers throughout the game.

Argh, if it's true Templars are the only playable SM, that will make me a bit annoyed. Hopefully there will be a good population balance with classes is what I'm hoping for. I can just see general Imperium being *nothing* but SM for a while, with everything else just taking a huge step to the side.

I imagine more chapters will be added in post-launch in expansions, I also plan on rolling Imperial Guard first as I like the concept of normal humans fighting against the horrors of the universe.

I know and realize that there are BT in this game. I know and realize that they will be the "main" Chapter of this game. Sorry if that isn't clear.
And I'm with you on the rolling of IG, unless there is a really cool Ork class (Meks? Please?).

I didn't mean to imply that you didn't know that, I simply meant to say that the Space Marine at 0:48 appears to be another BT Marine not a SW (though it would be awesome if it was one).

But those shots you posted don't show the Marine who I think is a Wolf.

It's the one knocking over the Berserkers with a thunder hammer.

There's 3 Chapters that we'll be seeing, or at least at last implication.

Black Templars, Dark Angels, and either Iron Snakes, Storm Wardens, or Raven Guard filling the third.

From interviews it basically been said we can expect to see other chapters as npc's, although maybe not at launch.

Black Templars are where its at for Marine wannabes, I was a little downheartened that they didn't allow for a creation system like other 40K games, although at the same time I could see why they'd not do that for pvp implications.

"okay, I lead this squad of Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Rainbow Warriors, you hold the base with those Imperial Fists, Iron Hands, White Scars and black and white marines. "

On the flip side, you'd have Chaos Marines and Imperials with very similar colour schemes, and in the heat of battle spotting a enemy or ally at a glance might not have been that easy.
